  5. No Frampton-Santa Cruz III?published at 13:14 Greenwich Mean Time 16 February 2017

The President of the World Boxing Association (WBA) has cast doubt on the prospect of a third fight between Carl Frampton and Leo Santa Cruz.

Gilberto Mendoza said the WBA may order a mandatory fight between featherweight champion Santa Cruz and his fellow Mexican Abner Mares.

Frampton beat Santa Cruz in New York in July 2016 before losing the Las Vegas rematch on points last month.

The Northern Irishman has said he wants to stage a trilogy fight in Belfast.

Contrast his height to that of the mascot at the other end. And is he giving some advice to William Gallas?

My friend was the Leicester mascot for the FA Cup fifth round tie v Watford in 1982. At the traditional meeting of the captains and presenting of pendants to the mascots, Pat Rice gave him a quid instead!

A bit of fun with England and Arsenal star - and FA People's Cup ambassador - Alex Scott, as she tries to sort fact from fiction with Radio 1Xtra's Nick Bright.

Uefa commissions dementia studypublished at 12:23 Greenwich Mean Time 16 February 2017

Uefa has commissioned a research project that will examine the links between dementia and playing football.

Tentative research published earlier this week suggested repeated headers during a player's career may be linked to long-term brain damage.

The research examined the brains of six players renowned for heading the ball - all of whom later developed dementia.

The Football Association has said it will look at the area more closely, but is yet to announce its own study.

Former Ferrari technical director James Allison has joined rivals Mercedes.

Allison, 48, who left Ferrari in July, replaces Paddy Lowe as technical director at the reigning world champions.

Lowe, who led the team to three consecutive drivers' and constructors' championship doubles from 2014 to 2016, left Mercedes in January.

Allison had two spells at Ferrari - working as chief aerodynamicist during the Michael Schumacher era of 2000-04.
