Defending champion Ronnie O'Sullivan blew a 3-0 lead to lose to Mark Davis in the Welsh Open second round.

World number 31 Davis looked to be heading out as O'Sullivan established a commanding lead in the best-of-seven contest.

Davis took the next four frames to complete a remarkable comeback on a day of shocks at the tournament.

"Best date ever"published at 10:49 Greenwich Mean Time 16 February 2017

Canadian tennis star Eugenie Bouchard has honoured her promise to join a 20-year-old student for a date, after he won their Twitter wager over the US Super Bowl.

While the Atlanta Falcons were 21-0 ahead, New England Patriots fan John Goehrke bet Bouchard a date that his team would triumph - she gamely accepted.

The Patriots duly mounted a nail-biting comeback in the game's dying minutes.

Clearly a woman of her word, she tweeted a picture of herself and John en route to a New York basketball game.

Just imagine if they lose that one.

  9. 'Wenger looked weary and beaten'published at 10:27 Greenwich Mean Time 16 February 2017

The Telegraph's James Ducker on BBC Radio 5 live: "No one is saying that he's not a good manager, but he has been able to get Arsenal over the next hurdle for a significant period of time.

"They might have to go backwards to get forwards. They will have problems  - United had them.

"He looked his age last night, he looked weary and beaten."

"Wenger's future will be decided at the end of the season" completely sums up Arsenal. No forward planning, last minute in the transfer windows, a 'we'll be ok' attitude. What we need is a new manager signed up now, signings made now, sell whoever doesn't want to continue and move forward. This has been incredibly frustrating for several years now. The squad is weaker than at any time in the past 10 years. Arsene you are a legend, we love you,

If you take the last four or five years and Arsenal had got rid of Wenger, who would the fans have wanted?

Pep? Klopp? Mourinho? This past weekend, all of those managers were below Wenger in the table until Man City beat Bournemouth on Monday.

It's a classic 'careful what you wish for' and Arsenal fans know that.

More from the Telegraph's James Ducker: "Petit and Vieira had controlled aggression, they used it effectively. Granit Xhaka is idiotic.

"It's not like Wenger hasn't had these players in the past. His side of the late-1990s was one of the best I've ever seen, but the silky players had steel. They were very aggressive and physical, but talented with it.

"He has lost sight of that. There is need for physicality. Chelsea have it. You won't win the title without it."

  16. 'Wenger has spent the money'published at 10:08 Greenwich Mean Time 16 February 2017

    Conor McNamara
    BBC MOTD commentator

So many people say that Arsenal have not spent money - Wenger has. You could say that David Luiz has been the best defender in the Premier League this season - Mustafi cost Arsenal more than Chelsea paid for Luiz.

Who has been the best midfielder? N'Golo Kante. Granit Xhaka cost Arsenal more. Who is the best playmaker? Eden Hazard. Mesut Ozil cot more. It's not that Wenger hasn't got the cheque book out.

The most frustrating thing is that Arsenal will inevitably produce a valiant display at home as they often do in the second of a champions league game that saw them well beat in the first, but will ultimately (of course) fall short (Almost turning a 4-0 loss to Milan and a 3-1 loss to Bayern around spring to mind as examples)

    Conor McNamara

It's because Arsenal are never far away - they are nearly right. We see every so often they go through patches where you think that's clicking together, but the consistency doesn't stay.

What fun is Wenger getting out of this now? He has become institutionalised by the club. He should have left three years ago and gone to somewhere like Real Madrid.

More from James Ducker on BBC Radio 5 live: "I think the great frustration for a lot of Arsenal fans is that they've never been miles away, but they have been two to three players short for the best part of a decade.

"I don't think Chelsea, Manchester United or Manchester City would have stood by a manager that hasn't won the title for 13 years. That's not to be ultra-critical of Wenger. He's a freak of nature in terms of staying at a club for so long - most managers don't do that."
