On the basis of it being a "freak fight", other such freak events are discussed including a boxer who fought an eight-foot tall bear and another who took on a kangaroo. Don't believe us? Take a listen.

    What a story...

    Michael EssienImage source, Getty Images

Ex-Chelsea and Real Madrid midfielder Michael Essien has joined Indonesia's Persib Bandung. Yep, the mighty Persib Bandung.

The 34-year-old, who left Panathinaikos in 2016 and has been training with Chelsea's reserve team, has reportedly signed a one-year deal.

Several greats have played in Indonesia. Mario Kempes and Roger Milla, stars of the 1978 and 1990 World Cups respectively, had short spells in the country, as did former England international Lee Hendrie.

I can't help but think Essien has missed a trick as the city of Bandung (red dot on the image) is not near a coastline and a glorious beach. Surely that's key? It's also close to volcanic mountains. Yikes.
