"He's one of the best players, if not the best player, in the world. For Welsh supporters, it would be a dream come true."

Liverpool legend and former European Cup winner  Ian Rush  has joined Marchetti on the stage.

He's also Welsh and the final is in Cardiff this year. Good planning Uefa team (thumbs-up emoji).

"Getting to the last eight is a fairytale - teams won't be looking forward to playing Leicester," he said.

Uefa competitions director Giorgio Marchetti (who looks like Claudio Ranieri) has been introduced on the stage.

He's also just mentioned Leicester City... hmm coincidence.

"Your story is beautiful and a lesson to us all," Ranieri said, er Marchetti.

There will no doubt now be a mini-review.

    Ah yes, on cue.

Crystal Palace boss Sam Allardyce has been speaking on the eve of his side's league game against Watford.

He is hopeful of signing Mamadou Sakho from Liverpool on a permanent deal following recent good display for the Eagles:

"Would be a big negotiation [if we were to try to sign Mama permanently]. He's settled quickly & worked extremely hard. Shown his quality.

"In possession Mama's been very good as well. Shown his capabilities defensively and on the ball."

And on keeper Steve Mandanda denying reports that he wants to leave Palace: "He's cleared up any speculation about his future himself. We're all focused on the job at hand."

And on survival (Palace are in 17th - a point above the drop-zone): "Thirty-eight points is normally enough. It used to be the magic 40, but in the last 10 years 38's been enough. Got to aim for more than that."

We're guessing that quite a few Leicester fans would fancy being drawn against Barcelona in the Champions League quarter-finals.

It is pretty extraordinary that the Spanish champions are still in the tournament after their comeback of all comebacks against Paris-St Germain in the last 16.

Faced with having to score three goals from the 88th minute, surely no other team could have pulled it off?

I don't quite know what to do.

Today is like having Christmas day as a kid only for Mum and Dad to say "hope you enjoyed those presents, we're all off to the airport to fly to Lapland and see Santa, he has twice as many gifts for you".

A far cry from the piece of coal and tangerine we're used to on 25 December following the Foxes.

Our airwaves have been full of pre-draw predictions. Juventus, Barcelona, maybe a chance of revenge, big revenge, on Atletico Madrid following the controversial Uefa Cup defeat in 1997. Whatever happens, today is historic.

The European tour was a novelty initially until City finished top of their group before defying the odds to make the last eight.

Juventus keeper Gianluigi Buffon and Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane have already expressed a view that they don't want to face the Foxes.

They're running scared already. Bring on the draw.
