We were in Lions overload yesterday for the quad announcement and former Scotland international Andy Nicol was a 5 live guest this morning to discuss the squad, which features only two players from north of the border.

"Scotland haven't had a Test Lion since 2001 - Tom Smith. Stuart Hogg at the moment I think would be in the Test team if the game was on Saturday. I think most people would say that. He was outstanding in the Six Nations, player of the tournament. 

"When it comes down to the final cut for the first XV there will be a Scot in it and Tommy Seymour could easily get on the wing as well. He's a proven try scorer, solid under the high ball defensively. The wing position, there's not a huge number of standout players, so Tommy could easily play himself into that."

"We can confirm that Ugo Ehiogu is currently in hospital after collapsing at our Training Centre earlier today," Tottenham said.

"Our Under-23's coach received immediate treatment on site from our medical staff before being transferred to hospital by ambulance.

"Everyone at the club sends their best wishes to Ugo and his family. We shall continue to provide updates when we have further information."

Ehiogu, who played for Aston Villa and Middlesbrough and was capped by England four times, has been on the coaching staff at Spurs since 2014.

The 8-1 shot Eminent, a son of champion racehorse turned stallion Frankel, has won the Craven Stakes at Newmarket.

The Martyn Meade-trained colt, ridden by champion jockey Jim Crowley, beat Rivet to rise up the reckoning for the 2000 Guineas, the first Classic of the flat racing season, on 6 May. Eminent is now fourth favourite.  

Former world champion Neil Robertson has completed a 10-4 victory over Noppon Saengkham of Thailand.

You are probably aware of the news that British Formula 4 driver Billy Monger, 17, had both of his legs amputated following his crash during Sunday's race at Donington Park.

The venue has released a statement:

"Donington Park circuit is working with the UK and international governing bodies of motor sport in order to ensure that every aspect of Billy Monger’s accident here on Sunday April 16th is fully examined.

At this difficult time, Donington Park encourages the media and the wider community to respect the wishes of the Monger family for privacy, while they are staying with Billy and his expert doctors in hospital.

We can all see and endorse the global support Billy is receiving from the world of motor sport, and we all pray for the best possible outcome for him."

Is Mauricio Pochettino going in for the mind games ahead of Saturday's semi-final? The Tottenham suggests Chelsea might start favourites for the Wembley showdown, even though they have lost two of their last four league games, while Spurs have won their last eight matches.

Spurs also beat Chelsea 2-0 in January but last won the FA Cup in 1991 and in the 16 years since Chelsea have won 17 major trophies.   

"If there is one favourite it's more Chelsea because they are on the top of the table in the Premier League and (with) the experienced players they have, and the manager that they have," Pochettino insists.

"I think it's a more experienced team than us. But we're in a good moment too, a hungry team. To challenge now this type of club, of team, is a very important thing for Tottenham."

Tonight two more ex-world champions take to the stage - an eagerly awaited contest between Shaun Murphy and the Rocket, Ronnie O'Sullivan.

Unfortunately some very sad news to report and Germaine Mason, who won high jump silver for Great Britain at the 2008 Olympics, has died in a motorcycle crash, police in Jamaica have said. He was 34.
