Fowler turns propublished at 14:33 British Summer Time 20 April 2017

    Boxing

Commonwealth Games gold medallist Anthony Fowler, cousin of former Liverpool and England striker Robbie, will make his professional debut on the Kell Brook-Errol Spence undercard at Bramall Lane on 27 May.

The 26-year-old won the middleweight division in Glasgow three years ago but was knocked out in the early stages at the Rio Olympics 2016.

"As long as I keep my head down and live the life, I don't see any reason why I won't become a world champion," he declared. You heard it here.

Toffees target top fivepublished at 14:23 British Summer Time 20 April 2017

West Ham v Everton (Saturday, 15:00 BST)

More from Toffees boss Ronald Koeman, who believes the Merseysiders can finish in the top-five this term. His team have won four of their last six games and are on the same points total as Arsenal, albeit having played two games more.

Everton travel to the Gunners on the final day of the season and Koeman said of a top-five place: "That’s our target. If we’re still in the mix when we play Arsenal at the end of the season it'll be really nice."

Koeman plays down Lukaku price tagpublished at 14:15 British Summer Time 20 April 2017

    Football

Let's get some thoughts from Everton boss Ronald Koeman. Asked whether a £100m price tag had been placed on Romelu Lukaku (not literally on him), the Premier League's top scorer with 24 goals thus far this term, Koeman insists: "I’m not involved in that business. He has a two-year contract. If someone’s interested they’ll call the club."

Liverpool v Crystal Palace (Sunday, 16:30 BST)

We've had Hanson's MMMBop for Kylian Mbappe, how about Olivia Newton-John's timeless classic Xanadu for Mamadou Sakho? Anyway, the big defender is on loan from Liverpool and is ineligible for this weekend's trip to Anfield but Palace have won five of their last seven and big Sam Allardyce says "he has been one of the main reasons for our run."

Asked about a permanent move for the 27-year-old France international the big boss adds: "Our first priority is staying up. Would we look at Mamadou Sakho? yes, would we talk about it now? no. When we are safe we can talk about it then and maybe some other players."

Here's Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino on Saturday's semi-final against the Premier League leaders, which is live on BBC One and BBC Radio 5 live:

"In the Premier League and the FA Cup we have a chance to fight for big things.

"It's important for us to enjoy the game. We play with our philosophy. We've learnt and grown up. It's impossible to compare Tottenham and Chelsea."

Here's the gaffer on reports that defender Toby Alderweireld will not sign a new deal and instead join Inter Milan:

"All the players today have contracts for the next two or three years minimum and we're not worried."

Bournemouth v Middlesbrough (Saturday, 15:00 BST)

Middlesbrough travel to the south coast this weekend one place off the bottom of the table, six points behind 17th-placed Hull, but coach Steve Agnew says there was enough in the narrow 2-1 defeat against Arsenal on Monday to show his team can survive the drop.

"Of course," he insists. "I was really really pleased with the intensity. We remain confident going into the game at Bournemouth."

'The players haven't responded particularly well'published at 13:32 British Summer Time 20 April 2017

Swansea v Stoke (Saturday, 15:00 BST)

Swansea have lost five of their last six league games and are without a win since 4 March. The Swans are in the drop zone, two points behind 17th-placed Hull and there have been some strong pre-match words from boss Paul Clement today.

"Five games left, three at home, all the games are difficult and the fact Hull are at home to Watford, we have to win," he insists.

"The players haven't responded particularly well over the last five or six games when the pressure has been there but we have to play under this pressure because if we keep performing the way we are the last few games will be for nothing."

Manager Sam Allardyce: "Striker Loic Remy and defender James Tomkins are back in the squad. Good to see with such a congested week coming along. We'll need it over the seven days.

"Obviously Mamadou Sakho can't play, so it's important that James is back. James McArthur's back and so is Patrick van Aanholt."

On Sunday's match: "If we're as clinical as we were against Arsenal & Chelsea, and don't make basic mistakes like against Leicester - we have a chance."

Staying with tennis and Russian Maria Sharapova will find out on 15 May whether she can compete at the French Open after her drugs ban, French tennis officials said.

They added that the absence of pregnant Serena Williams would have no bearing on their decision.

Two-time Roland Garros champion Sharapova returns next week from a 15-month drugs ban at the WTA Stuttgart Grand Prix.

Stuttgart offered the 30-year-old Russian a wildcard entry because she no longer has a world ranking. She has also been invited to clay-court events in Madrid and Rome.
