Leicester v Tottenham (Thurs, 19:45 BST)

    Leicester City

Having flirted with the prospect of being relegated, Leicester can finish as high as eighth in the Premier League, if results go their way on the final day. They are currently 11th.

“The players can see the light at the end of the tunnel, and we want to finish as high as we can. We’re aware of where we can finish.

"We have got a great record here at the King Power. It will be more than interesting.

“Defensively, Spurs are similar to Manchester City. They have progressed and are very good on and off the ball. We also know our threats."

    Leicester City

Leicester boss Craig Shakespeare is finally in his seat and has been reflecting on last weekend's defeat at Manchester City.

The Foxes could have got a point, but had Riyad Mahrez's penalty ruled out for double hit.

“I think bizarre is the right word. But we know the letter of the law, the referee got it right. I think if we change (the law) then we go into the referee’s interpretation. For example, did he slip etc."

No French Open wildcard for Sharapovapublished at 09:34 British Summer Time 17 May 2017

    Maria SharapovaImage source, Getty Images

Maria Sharapova will miss the French Open after tournament officials decided not to give the two-time champion a wildcard.

The Russian, 30, was ranked too low to gain direct entry as she continues her return from a 15-month drugs ban.

"There can be a wildcard for the return from injuries - there cannot be a wildcard for the return from doping," French Tennis Federation (FFT) chief Bernard Giudicelli Ferrandini said.

The French Open begins on 28 May.

So there is a possibility, albeit remote, that we could have a one-off game to see who gets the final Champions League place.

Now it's time to get creative.

    • We want a new name for this game and a strapline, because Champions League play-off doesn't have a great ring to it. How about 'Destination Europe', 'The Golden Ticket'? You get the idea.
    • Plus can you think of any other ways they could settle fourth place, without playing the game? Tiddlywinks perhaps?

Send your ideas to us via Twitter using #bbcsportsday, external or text in on 81111 (UK only). Remember to put names on texts.

    A play-off for Europe?published at 08:40 British Summer Time 17 May 2017

    Football

Aguero, Firmino, GiroudImage source, Getty Images

Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal all face a possible play-off to determine qualification for next season's Champions League.

The three clubs, occupying third to fifth place in the Premier League, are separated by three points going into Sunday's final round of games.

But their goal difference, and goals scored, are similar enough to raise the realistic prospect of two teams finishing joint third or fourth with identical records - necessitating a one-off play-off match.
