'The Ajax way of playing'published at 11:56 British Summer Time 24 May 2017

Ajax v Manchester United (19:45 BST)

Ajax coach Peter Bosz says Manchester United will need to be prepared to overcome his side's attacking style of football in the Europa League final.

He said: "We only have a chance of beating Manchester United if we play our own game, which we have developed this season and which I like to call the Ajax way of playing.

"It is romantic but it all depends on how strong they are. We are dealing with two different styles and we will see which style of playing comes out on top."

More from Rio Ferdinand on 5 live:

"Tonight's an opportunity for the players to show solidarity with Manchester. Playing after such an unforgiving and devastating act, I don't think it matters whether you're a red or you're a blue, you want these guys to go out and represent Manchester and show the togetherness this city has got.

"It will dawn on the players after that this is such a huge game, not only for Manchester United Football Club, but also for a player to show they can bring a community, a city, a country together by playing and showing that whatever goes on they will go out there and perform to the best of ability."

'As soon as I got to Manchester I fell in love with the place'published at 11:14 British Summer Time 24 May 2017

Ajax v Manchester United (19:45 BST)

    BBC Radio 5 live

Former Manchester United and England defender Rio Ferdinand, who is in Stockholm for tonight's final, has been speaking to BBC Radio 5 live this morning.

He has been talking about the Manchester attack, which killed 22 people at the Manchester Arena on Monday.

"I am obviously devastated, Manchester’s somewhere I’ve made home for 12 years, nearly 13, my kids were born here, made many friends there, still in contact with many of them," said an emotional Ferdinand.

"The character of the city has never been the question, as soon as I got to Manchester I fell in love with the place, the people, the community, the vibe of the city and that is a representation of not just Manchester but England.

"If this had happened in any other city in England I think it would be the same solidarity, the same coming together, the same outcry because in this country we got people who show a sense of unity when the chips are down."

“We feel it is hard but we must be professional and we must change our mindset and continue.”
