    The Times today lead their sport supplement with the cricket but the back page was reserved for 23-year-old golfer Jordan Speith won The Open at Royal Birkdale by three shots after an enthralling battle with Matt Kuchar.

    The American became the youngest Open winner since 22-year-old Seve Ballesteros won the first of his three titles in 1979.
