Carolina use a timeout to stop the clock. They only have one left in this half. Newton struggling to get in a groove thanks to Denver's defence.

Carolina penalised for a false start - they seem to be a little jumpy at the moment. The tension is rising. They need 13 yards to make a new down here.

Denver come in and also can make nothing happen with their downs. This is turning into a defensive battle of Super Bowl-sized proportions. Ted Ginn makes a fair catch following a 53-yard punt. We now have under two minutes left in this half.

Another three-and-out for Carolina. Denver's defenders make sure that the interception leads to nada. Three minutes left and Manning is shouting 'let's go' to his team!

Manning throws it straight to Kony Ealy who intercepts, pulling it in with one hand. Sensational. And now Carolina are on their own 39-yard line with the ball.
