    I salute that man, it was an incredible performance, coming up with the plays when it was necessary. The goats - Bill Belichick and Tom Brady - have outclassed the Rams.

    It's incredible what Brady has done - six Super Bowls. It's hard to fathom what this team has been able to accomplish.

    You keep thinking 'at some point they're going to falter', but the keep coming up with way after way to win.

    Patriots quarterback Tom Brady: "It was an unbelievable year, we fought through it more than anything. It's unbeleivable. They played so well, their defence was great, they made it tough on every play. We finally got a touchdown and our defence had a game of the year.

    "We have been this far and lost and it's really tough. I wish we had played better on offense but we won, I can't believe it.

    "Winning doesn't change anything for me. I can't wait to spend time with my family, I am so happy for my team mates, it's a dream come true."
