New York Giants 10-10 Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles are in hurry-up mode on this drive. They don't want this one still being in the balance come the close.

  2. Postpublished at 23:33 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2019

New York Giants 10-10 Philadelphia Eagles

We saw pictures of veteran quarterback Eli Manning on the sideline there. He looked utterly miserable, in a huge coat and bobble hat with the rain pouring down on him in New York.

What does the future hold for the two-time Super Bowl winner after being replaced by rookie Daniel Jones this year?

  3. Postpublished at 23:32 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2019

    Houston Texans 14-28 Tennessee Titans

This Titans team mean business. Immense power and strength from Derrick Henry as he burrows into the end zone despite having three men all over him. Strong as a bull.

The Patriots won't have it their own way against this lot next week, if that is the matchup...

New York Giants 10-10 Philadelphia Eagles

But Saquon Barkley is stuffed for a three-yard loss before Daniel Jones has two incomplete passes to Sterling Shepard. The Giants have to hand it over on downs.

New York Giants 10-10 Philadelphia Eagles

It's back with the Giants after just four plays. And from the second play of their drive, Daniel Jones finds Darius Slayton for a 33-yard catcha nd run.

Brave play that, Jones held on long enough for Slayton to get free - and released it moments before getting clattered.

  7. Lynch's frosty relationship with the mediapublished at 23:27 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2019

Seattle Seahawks v San Francisco 49ers (01:20 GMT)

The Seahawks returned to the Super Bowl in 2015 and in the build-up Lynch held two memorable news conferences having previously been fined for violating the NFL's media policy.

A day after repeating one line 29 times he answered media questions with 11 variations of: "You know why I'm here." Click here to see just how cringe the news conferences were.

Needless to say, his first since re-signing for Seattle was a brief affair. I don't envy any Seattle reporters following their playoff campaign.

  8. Seahawks activate Beast Modepublished at 23:24 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2019

Seattle Seahawks v San Francisco 49ers (01:20 GMT)

The Seattle Seahawks had already lost Rashaad Penny to a torn ACL. Then they lost fellow running backs CJ Prosise (broken arm) and Chris Carson (hip) to injuries in last week's defeat by Arizona so they were desperate for some reinforcements heading into the playoffs.

And they remedied that in the week by re-signing Marshawn Lynch and Robert Turbin, who both played for Seattle during their solitary Super Bowl win in 2014.

Lynch, 33, was a free agent having not played since being released by the Oakland Raiders during the 2018 season. He has pedigree, and he's a bit of a character too. You've got to be to get away with a nickname like 'Beast Mode'.

    Houston Texans 14-21 Tennessee Titans

Maybe it's not all done and dusted for the Titans! The Texans are back to within seven thanks to a brilliant touchdown from backup quarterback A. J. McCarron. He is under pressure in the pocket, nearly goes down but instead spots a gap and dives into the end zone for a fine score.

  10. Giants touchdownpublished at 23:20 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2019

New York Giants 10-10 Philadelphia Eagles

And from the next play Daniel Jones moves out of the pocket to give himself more time before lofting it to Golden Tate at the back of the end zone. The wide receiver clings onto the ball on his right shoulder to claim a 20-yard touchdown pass.

Aldrick Rosas adds the extra point and it's all square. Hope for the Dallas Cowboys.

  11. Postpublished at 23:15 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2019

New York Giants 3-10 Philadelphia Eagles

The Giants go for it on fourth down and Daniel Jones turns out from the pocket and makes 17 yards down the right sideline.

  12. Postpublished at 23:14 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2019

New York Giants 3-10 Philadelphia Eagles

It's slow going for the Giants on this drive but it's still alive. It's 4th & 1 at Philadelphia's 37-yard line as New York take a timeout.

  13. Postpublished at 23:12 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2019

    Houston Texans 7-21 Tennessee Titans

All credit to the Titans, who are taking care of business in what looked like a very tough game indeed.

They need a win to ensure that final play-off spot and Derrick Henry has just ran in another score to extend their lead in Texas.

  14. Postpublished at 23:06 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2019

New York Giants 3-10 Philadelphia Eagles

They've just got the second half under way in New York, where the Giants need more from their running game.

In the first half they had just three rushing yards, all from star running back Saquon Barkley, from a total of five carries.

  15. Postpublished at 23:00 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2019

    Cincinnati Bengals 33-23 Cleveland Browns

And it wasn't just today that Odell Beckham Jr was struggling for full fitness.

He's promising big things for 2020, but will he still be at Cleveland then?

  18. OBJ doing what OBJ doespublished at 22:49 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2019

    Cincinnati Bengals 33-23 Cleveland Browns

Whatever happened to the Cleveland Browns making the playoffs after their sensational swoop for star receiver Odell Beckham Jr in pre-season?

The Browns only managed a 6-10 record this season - worse than the 7-8-1 they managed last year - so were never really in the running.

But OBJ did make this fine catch today to help him go past 1,000 receiving yards for the season.

Miles Sanders is now off the field and Brandon Brooks has just been carted off after being injured as the Eagles kicked the extra point.

  20. Eagles touchdownpublished at 22:39 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2019

New York Giants 3-10 Philadelphia Eagles

New York aren't level for long. Carson Wentz finds Boston Scott with a 29-yard pass before being given an age to wander out of the pocket and pick out Joshua Perkins for a 24-yard touchdown.

Some arm strength by Wentz to throw across his body and find Perkins with a diagonal pass. Terrible coverage by the Giants though.
