Kansas City are playing too deep on first down. Every first down on this possession they have been too deep.

Big play, huge. Jimmy G hands it to Deebo Samuel, who finds a lane down the right and sneaks up the sideline. He steps out of bounds for a 32-yard gain.

Jimmy Garoppolo now has it. What can he do on the 49ers' opening drive?

He finds George Kittle for a first down.

Not the best of starts by Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs fail to make a first down on their opening drive so go three-and-out.

Here's a reminder of what the Chiefs' quarterback can do though...

I imagine you're probably wondering. How much is a beer at the Super Bowl?

Well, you're looking at $14 for a bottle of Bud Light or $18 for a can of lager!

    That's about £10.60 or £13.60. Woooosh.

  8. Kick-offpublished at 23:42 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2020

And we're under way in Miami. Let's do this!!

The 49ers kick to the Chiefs so Patrick Mahomes is first up in possession.

Tell us your predictions for Super Bowl 54

Kieron Moralee: Broncos fan here hoping for a 49ers win.. obviously.

Chris Weight: My prediction - 49ers to score 40+ and Sherman with 2 picks. You heard it hear first

Zach Kingsbury: 37-25 (to San Fran) is my score prediction. That's if that can be a score. Who knows. Why can't it just be 1-0?

Kansas City Chiefs v San Francisco 49ers

    Osi Umenyiora
Two-time Super Bowl winner on BBC One

The Kansas City chiefs have been through the most. I was undecided on who was going to win right until now. The Chiefs are the more desperate to win, 50 years, and I think they will beat the San Francisco 49ers.

There is nobody out here that nobody does not like. They are two fantastic teams to watch.

Jack: This is the best Superbowl we could have hoped for after this season. Mahomes' pure skill. Shanahan arguably the best play caller this season. Best DF vs best OF. Excited is an understatement.

That's right Jack, most agree with you. Both teams have had a great season and both like to pile on the points.

But many are saying this is simply a matter of the Chiefs offence v the 49ers defence. OR the Chiefs' passing offence v the 49ers' rush offence.

Whoever comes out on top tonight it will be a long-awaited Super Bowl triumph.

MJ Moorton: My money is on the 49ers, but my predictions are worse than Osi’s, so the Chiefs are probably going to win...

Jim Priestley: Been watching Superbowl since a Kansas City fan introduced me to it in the late 70's, birthday is 31st January, finally a Superbowl falls on my birthday weekend and the chiefs are in the game, day off tomorrow booked, I am here for the duration! Come on!

Dan Smith: The saying goes "defence wins championships" - do the guys think that rings true tonight? Or will we see KC and Mahomes win it on offense?

Kansas City Chiefs v San Francisco 49ers

    Osi Umenyiora
Two-time Super Bowl winner on BBC Two

On Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes...

This is the best young quarterback in football today. He has all the skills at his disposal and he will be here for a long time to come.

He is almost impossible to play against. He has the arm talent and the ability to get the ball anywhere and there's no way you can play against a player like that.

The inductees of the NFL 100 all-time team were introduced to the crowd - Bill Belichick was jeered pretty loudly as he showed off just a few of his Super Bowl rings, while Jerry Rice still looks like he could do a job!

Before the match, everyone in the Hard Rock Stadium participated in a moment's silence for Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna, and the other victims in last week's tragic helicopter crash.
