For the first time tonight, a side leads by more than one score.

The Chiefs came back from 24 and 10 points down in the play-offs, but have the 49ers defence now got the measure of him?

  12. 'Worst position for the Chiefs'published at 02:03 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February 2020

Kansas City Chiefs 10-20 San Francisco 49ers

    Osi Umenyiora
Two-time Super Bowl winner on BBC One

The Chiefs are playing against a fierce pass rush and the 49ers offense will continue to run the ball down your throat and use up that clock so this is the worst position for the Chiefs to be in right now.

Jimmy G has really impressed since that early interception. He's now completed 17 of 20 passes for 183 yards and he's put his side in a good position.

Still only 10 in it though. But he's giving the Niners a balanced attack.

That interception sure was a game-changing play by Fred Warner. The 49ers have just picked up seven points on the back of it.

Jimmy Garoppolo found Deebo Samuel for 16 yards, then Kendrick Bourne for 26.

Kyle Juszczyk makes a 10-yard catch to get the 49ers within a yard and Raheem Mostert punches it in for the TD.

Joe Smith: Isn't this supposed to be Mahomes big game? So far he hasn't really shown up and that interception has only made things worse for the Chiefs.

Adam Stubbings: Niners D showing up big time on that drive. Bosa is a monster. First time tonight that the Chiefs look on the back foot.

Jack: WOW! Mahomes what was that??

Could that Mahomes interception be a defining moment in Super Bowl 54?

That was a huge minute or so from Mahomes - and not in the way we expected. A fumble and then a pick! Have the Niners rattled him?

Oh, big let-off there for Patrick Mahomes.

Nick Bosa gets to the quarterback to knock it out of his hands, but Mahomes recovers it to maintain possession. Still a nine-yard loss though.
