These [Chiefs] receivers are the best in the league at finding a spot. You watch the Chiefs, regardless of who it is, they give Mahomes a place to go with the football.
The Chiefs are one of the best teams at 10-play drives.

Over to you Patrick.
The Chiefs begin their drive on their own nine-yard line. But on the first play Mahomes drifts out of the pocket to find Sammy Watkins for 19 yards and a first down.
Can he lead them all the way up the field? In a Super Bowl, that would be something.

American singer Pink loved the show put on by Shakira and Jennifer Lopez.

San Francisco are back in front. Although Jimmy G makes short passes to George Kittle and Tevin Coleman, the 49ers can't quite force another first down so on comes Robbie Gould for the field goal.
And he makes no mistake from 42 yards to go three-from-three for the night.

That'll be their running game, although Jimmy Garoppolo has just found Kyle Juszczyk for 14 yards.
People call this 49ers offence a rushing offence but Garoppolo's passing stats measure up to most QBs in the NFL.
San Francisco are up to the Chiefs' 32-yard line.

There was a lot going on in that half-time show.

It's safe to say that Shakira and J-Lo killed that half-time show. What did you think of it? Let us know on Twitter with #bbcnfl

The Chiefs kick to the 49ers before Deebo Samuel gets a first down with a 14-yard run down the left sideline, thanks to a George Kittle block.

The teams are back out and the third quarter is under way in Miami.
Who will it be? Mahomes or Garoppolo? The Chiefs or the 49ers?
Just gonna throw this one out there. May be tempting fate but don't shoot the messenger...
Patrick Mahomes' touchdown-to-interception ratio (11:0) by any player in the Super Bowl era (minimum 125 pass attempts).
Coming into the game, Mahomes was yet to throw an interception in 142 pass attempts in the play-offs – the most to start a post-season career since 1991.
Jimmy Garoppolo would join Steve Young as the only QBs to win a Super Bowl as a back-up and then later as a starter.
No quarterback since 1970 has managed a higher career winning percentage than Garoppolo's .821 (W23 L5). His career average is 29.1 points per game.
Lamar Jackson couldn't cap his season with a Super Bowl appearance though.
Instead it was Patrick Mahomes and Jimmy Garoppolo who led their teams to the big show - and never before have the two Super Bowl quarterbacks had a higher career winning rate.
Mahomes won last year's MVP award and now has the highest career passer rating in NFL history, including play-offs, of 109.6 (minimum 1,000 pass attempts).
Mahomes also has the highest career post-season passer rating in the Super Bowl era of 115.0 (minimum 125 pass attempts).
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson was named the NFL's most valuable player for the 2019 season at the league's pre-Super Bowl awards in Miami. Jackson, 23, was in sensational form throughout the regular season, setting an NFL record for rushing yards for a quarterback as the Ravens won their division.
The Ravens entered the play-offs with the best record in the NFL (14-2) but they were shocked by Tennessee in the divisional round last month.
It is the seventh year in a row that a quarterback has taken home the honour.
"You have to believe in yourself," Jackson said. "Some people might say that's cocky but you have to know what you are capable of and the sky's the limit. The Super Bowl is the trophy I really want for Baltimore, not just myself. We're here, we've got this MVP. We didn't get what we wanted, but we got one of them."
Jackson threw 36 touchdowns in the regular season - more than any other quarterback - and scored seven rushing touchdowns. His rushing total of 1,206 yards was the sixth best in the league overall, and more than double that of the next quarterback on the list, Arizona's Kyler Murray.

They've already got the stage off the pitch. Heroes.
No Shakira, thank you!! I mean, I'm no showbiz expert but have we just seen a half-time show that actually lived up to the hype?
