Nate Brett: Do you think other teams could put together a “before they retire” super team like Tampa has.. Its a one shot team but it has worked well.

It's still early doors, but Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski and Antonio Brown all featured on that scoring drive by the Bucs.

If the Bucs jumped ahead with another seven points, with the way they're able to run the ball, that's not good for Kansas City. That was a huge play. Defence showed up.

The Bucs go for it on fourth and goal but it looks like the Chiefs stopped Ronald Jones right on the line.

Tampa Bay are challenging - there are 125 cameras on site so surely they can sort this one out? And they can, call stands, Kansas City get the ball back, but right on their own line.

Brady almost found his lineman Haeg with a incredible trick play, but it bounces off the big man's helmet and hands right under the posts.

  6. Great play!published at 00:25 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2021

Kansas City Chiefs 3-7 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Brady launches a big pass to Mike Evans who almost scores but goes out at the six - a catch of 31 yards that sets up first and goal.

Tampa Bay knocking on the door again.

Gronkowski gets his second catch of the game - no substitute for experience is there.

Chris Jones is then flagged for 15 yards for flicking out a hand against the Bucs lineman and the Bucs move on, big penalty that one.

  8. Bucs defence on toppublished at 00:20 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2021

Kansas City Chiefs 3-7 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Chiefs have to punt it away again as Mahomes is put under yet more pressure and as yet he just can't find a way out of it.

It's a bad punt too, although they've not had much practice of late.

Matt Dawson: A Tom Brady win at this point just seems like fate. There's just something about Tom Brady that makes me think the Buccaneers will win... Might be his 6 Super Bowl titles.

  10. How do you scheme against the Chiefs' offence?published at 00:18 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2021

Kansas City Chiefs v Tampa Bay Buccaneers

    Jason Bell
Former NFL cornerback for the Houston Texans

What’s so scary about Kansas City is they're like a boxer with a knockout punch because they have so much speed, especially with Tyreek Hill, who any moment can run past you. That's the fear factor. It's not only that you have to defend these guys and defend all their plays, it's how explosive they are. You're always on your toes because of that. And that's what makes that offense work. That's why they're able to go to the short passing game like they've been doing, because if you don't respect their offense, especially with your safeties and have them back deep at any moment in time, your defensive backs can get ran past.

Somehow, I would have to disrupt them (Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce) every time they come off the ball, that's why they flex Kelce out a lot. They don't have him in the box, kind of where he can get chipped by a defence or something like that, because I'm trying to put my hands on them at the line of scrimmage every time to slow them down. We know that offensive line at Kansas City is a little banged up so Patrick Mahomes is going to have to move around. If I could disrupt those routes a little bit, it gives my defensive line time to get after Mahomes.

  11. End of first quarterpublished at 00:18 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2021

Kansas City Chiefs 3-7 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Well, the last time they met the Chiefs were 17-0 up after the first quarter but it's a different ball game now.

Gronkowski has come out of hiding, Brady has scored his first touchdown in the opening quarter of a Super Bowl at the 10th attempt and Mahomes hasn't found the end zone.

    This is warming up nicely.

  12. Great play!published at 00:16 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2021

Byron Pringle with a great return from the kick-off to take it 41 yards to the Chiefs' 47-yard line. Decent starting position for Mahomes.

Touchdown - Buccaneerspublished at 00:11 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2021

Kansas City Chiefs 3-7 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Brady to Rob Gronkowski for the opening touchdown of the game! We've seen this movie before as the old Patriots team-mates become the best touchdown-scoring tandem in post-season NFL history.

It's another play-action pass and Gronk was somehow all alone to wander into the end zone.

That's the 13th play-off touchdown between Brady and Gronkowski as they move ahead of Joe Montana and Jerry Rice.

This is the main thing about Patrick Mahomes - his feet don't even have to be set, he can throw from any platform. Off-balance, it doesn't matter. These are the things he's going to have to do for Kansas City to have success on offence.

  17. Bucs rollingpublished at 00:09 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2021

Kansas City Chiefs 3-0 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Antonio Brown collects a 16-yard pass and Cameron Brate gets a 15-yard screen before Fournette then gets another first down as Brady gets this offence rolling.

  18. Postpublished at 00:08 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2021

Kansas City Chiefs 3-0 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Bashaud Breeland flagged for holding on Mike Evans, that's something to watch for as the referees have been quite easy on that during the play-offs, but not in the Super Bowl it seems.

This is a fantastic defensive performance but Patrick Mahomes, what he did there, the little shoulder shimmy, came up in the pocket and just flicked it - a little flick of the wrist - all the way down to Tyreek Hill, who should have made that play.
