  1. touchdown

Touchdown - Buccaneerspublished at 01:59 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2021

Kansas City Chiefs 9-28 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Leonard Fournette finds the end zone with a power run of 27 yards. What a statement from Brady's Buccaneers to start the half.

Fournette has gone from being released by jacksonville to scoring a touchdown in a Super Bowl in what looks highly likely now to be a winning effort as well.

The Bucs are showing no signs of taking it easy this half.

  2. Big conversionpublished at 01:58 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2021

Kansas City Chiefs 9-21 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

It's a typical quick pass from Brady to his running back Fournette to move the sticks again and get a first down. 'Play-off Lenny' is such a big running back he's pretty tough to bring down with a head of steam.

  3. field goal

Field goal - Chiefspublished at 01:51 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2021

Kansas City Chiefs 9-21 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Well, it's something I suppose, as Harrison Butker nails a huge 52-yarder, showing he never skips leg day, to give the Chiefs three points.

That's a result for Tampa Bay though, as Mahomes just looked to be getting a head of steam but for two slips from Hardman and Kelce that cost them.

Patrick Mahomes' targets have got to start catching the ball - Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill. On third down they haven't been efficient, they have to keep the drives going.

  5. Big runpublished at 01:47 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2021

Kansas City Chiefs 6-21 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Clyde Edwards-Helaire makes a mark on the game with a big 26-yard run to start the first half. Even any sign of a run game could open things up for Mahomes.

  6. 'Spagnuolo brought out a marker and drew up a defence right there'published at 01:47 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2021

Kansas City's defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo was also the New York Giants' DC when they and Osi beat Tom Brady's New England Patriots at Super Bowl 42.

"Steve is the best coordinator I've ever seen at making adjustments," said Osi. "One time the offence came out and they were running something we'd never seen, so he brought up the whiteboard. He brought out a marker. He drew up a defence. He's like, 'OK, this is what we're going to run now'. And as a defence, we'd never seen, never ran, never even heard of that offence. But he was able to see what they were doing and adjust right there on the fly. And this is something I've never seen the defensive coordinator do before.

"They have their plays, they have their set calls and whatever the offence does, they look at their feet and they try to figure out something there. But I've never seen a defensive coordinator literally make up a new defence right there on the spot and we go out there and execute it. So in regards to adjustments, he's going to be able to adjust to whatever Tampa Bay has to offer. It's just going to be up to the players to see if they can execute."

Kansas City are beating themselves. You have to play disciplined football, especially in a match-up like this. Every yard counts. This has to be discussed at half-time because they have to clean it up.

The Chiefs are absolutely rattled right now. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are all up in their grill, they're in their mind, they've completely flummoxed the Chiefs. They do not know what's going on right now. They've been down before, but they haven't been absolutely obliterated the way the Bucs are doing to them right now.

The Weeknd has plenty of lights, fireworks and glitz for us, but the stage you'll notice is within the stadium, to avoid NFL staff and workers to have to build a stage on the field as usual.

Don't know about you but this gold indoor, hall of mirrors bit is making me dizzy....

I cannot understand what's going on with Kansas City. This is usually a very disciplined team but right now they are playing out of their minds. They are acting like they've never been in this situation before and they are letting down the entire town of Kansas City. They are much better than this.

  20. Half-time - Bucs build big leadpublished at 01:18 Greenwich Mean Time 8 February 2021

Kansas City Chiefs 6-21 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Chiefs have trailed before in the play-offs, including in last year's Super Bowl, but Tom Brady was not the opposition last time so this looks like a very different story and very much Tampa Bay's game to lose now.

There's a long wait now until the second half, plenty of time to make adjustments but what the Chiefs really need to do is stop the penalties that have really caused a lot of their problems.

Should be some second half anyway, so stay with us!
