  2. Chargers beat Steelerspublished at 06:53 Greenwich Mean Time 22 November 2021

Los Angeles Chargers 41-37 Pittsburgh Steelers

Justin Herbert threw 382 yards and secured a game-winning touchdown to help Los Angeles Chargers overcome a Pittsburgh Steelers fightback.

The Chargers had a 27-10 lead going into the fourth quarter before Pittsburgh rallied, leading 37-34 with just a few moments remaining.

However, Herbert's 53-yard touchdown pass through to Mike Williams was enough to see the Chargers over the line.

  3. Cardinals go top of NFL standings after Packers losepublished at 01:21 Greenwich Mean Time 22 November 2021

Top two in NFC Conference swap places

The Green Bay Packers lost a thriller 34-31 against the Minnesota Vikings, who finally had a dramatic late ending to a game go their way just when it looked like they'd suffer late heartbreak again.

After pulling ahead late on, Minnesota could only watch as Aaron Rodgers needed just one play to launch a 75-yard touchdown bomb to Marquez Valdes-Scantling before intercepting Kirk Cousins. But when that play was overturned Cousins led the game-winning drive to stun the top seeds in the NFC Conference.

As the Packers slipped to 8-3, the Arizona Cardinals replaced them at the top of the NFC and became the first team in the league to get nine wins with a league-leading 9-2 mark following an impressive 23-13 win at the Seattle Seahawks.

It was a third straight game without star quarterback Kyler Murray but back-up Colt McCoy, who won in Seattle with the New York Giants last year, controlled the game easily enough with two TD throws to Zach Ertz while James Conner found the end zone yet again on the ground.

The Cardinals will hope to get Murray and star receiver DeAndre Hopkins back after next week's bye, which is a scary prospect for the rest of the NFL.

  4. Best of the late games - Chiefs defence blunts Cowboyspublished at 01:10 Greenwich Mean Time 22 November 2021

Dallas Cowboys 9-19 Kansas City Chiefs

Among all the shocks of the last few weeks, right up there has been the vast improvement in the Kansas City defence, which was playing to historically bad levels earlier in the season but held the NFL's top scorers out of the end zone in a gritty victory.

Nobody had this penned as a defensive masterclass after both sides topped 40 points last week, but Dak Prescott was sacked five times and intercepted twice as his Dallas Cowboys were held to just three field goals. It was a huge game in particular for the Chiefs' main defensive disruptor Chris Jones.

The Chiefs ran in two touchdowns as Patrick Mahomes was also bottled up pretty well by Dallas but it was Kansas City's new-found defensive dominance that caught the eye. If they keep this up it makes them a totally different animal heading into the play-offs.

And that's where they're going now as, at 7-4, they now top the AFC East having been bottom a few weeks ago before winning four straight.

  5. Player of the day - five-star Taylor runs down Buffalopublished at 01:02 Greenwich Mean Time 22 November 2021

    Indianapolis Colts 41-15 Buffalo Bills

We fancied the Colts to do well before the start of the season but they'e found life tough despite the obvious talent they've got on the roster. It's starting to show now and none more so than the league's leading running back Jonathan Taylor, who scored five touchdowns in a complete annihilation of the well-fancied Buffalo Bills.

Taylor ran for an incredible 185 yards against the best defence in the league as the Colts exacted sweet revenge for their play-off loss in Buffalo back in January. They could well meet again in the post-season with Indy now winning five of six to go to 6-5 and are well in the play-off picture.

The way they're improving and with Taylor in such punishing running form, they'll be a team nobody wants to face in the play-offs, especially Buffalo, who committed four turnovers when losing their lead in the AFC East to the improving New England Patriots - who they have to face twice in December. These teams could be heading in opposite directions after today.

  6. Best of the rest - Texans upset the Titanspublished at 00:50 Greenwich Mean Time 22 November 2021

Quarterback Tyrod Taylor rushed for two touchdowns and Desmond King II recorded a pair of fourth-quarter interceptions as the Houston Texans (2-8) snapped an eight-game losing streak with a 22-13 upset of the Tennessee Titans (8-3).

Taylor Heinicke threw three touchdown passes to upstage Cam Newton as the Washington Football Team won 27-21 at the Carolina Panthers.

Newton, who was playing his first home game with the Panthers since 2019 after signing as a free agent before last week's upset of Arizona, threw for two touchdowns and rushed for another before two late field goals saw Washington improve to 4-6.

Devonta Freeman's three-yard touchdown run with 22 seconds left saw the Baltimore Ravens win 16-13 at the Chicago Bears, despite being without quarterback Lamar Jackson through illness.

The Bears took a 13-9 lead with 1:41 remaining as Andy Dalton, who came on for the injured Justin Fields, found Marquise Goodwin for a 49-yard touchdown, but Baltimore's back-up Tyler Huntley helped them drive 72 yards in five plays to snatch the win and go 7-3.

Jimmy Garoppolo threw two short touchdown passes as the San Francisco 49ers won 30-10 at the Jacksonville Jaguars. The 49ers (5-5) dominated possession in Florida, just as they did in last Monday's win over the Los Angeles Rams.

  7. Round-up - Hurts stands out in Eagles winpublished at 00:40 Greenwich Mean Time 22 November 2021

Jalen Hurts ran for three touchdowns and Darius Slay returned an interception for a touchdown as the Philadelphia Eagles held off the New Orleans Saints to win 40-29.

Quarterback Hurts passed for 147 yards and ran for 69 as the Eagles (5-6) had 242 yards on the ground against the NFL's top-ranked run defence.

Joe Mixon rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns as the Cincinnati Bengals won 32-13 at the Las Vegas Raiders.

Tua Tagovailoa threw two touchdown passes, including the match-winner to Myles Gaskin in the fourth quarter, as the Miami Dolphins won 24-17 at divisional rivals the New York Jets.

Nick Chubb returned after a week out for the Cleveland Browns, rushing for 130 yards and catching a short touchdown pass as they beat the Detroit Lions 13-10 to go 6-5.

  8. FT - Arizona impress without Murraypublished at 00:33 Greenwich Mean Time 22 November 2021

    Arizona Cardinals 23-13 Seattle Seahawks

It's another impressive victory for the Arizona Cardinals without their star quarterback Kyler Murray, with back-up Colt McCoy leading them to the win in Seattle.

We shouldn't be surprised as McCoy won in Seattle last season while playing for the Giants and in this game the Seahawks never really looked capable of beating the Cardinals - who now go to 9-2 as the owners of the best record in the entire NFL.

Russell Wilson loses three games in a row for the first time as Seattle starter and it looks like their season is over at 3-7.

  9. Prescott pick seals Chiefs win!published at 00:27 Greenwich Mean Time 22 November 2021

Dallas Cowboys 9-19 Kansas City Chiefs

Chris Jones, yet again, having an impact as he looks to have tipped Dak Prescott's pass and it wobbles through the air to be collected by L'Jarius Sneed for the game-sealing interception.

Victory formation coming up with the Chiefs defence keeping Dallas out of the end zone entirely in this game - not many saw that coming!

  10. Dallas need points nowpublished at 00:23 Greenwich Mean Time 22 November 2021

Dallas Cowboys 9-19 Kansas City Chiefs

It's a nice pooch kick by goal kicker Harrison Butker for the Chiefs to peg Dallas back at their own three, but Prescott starts to move the chains and as they hit the two-minute warning the Cowboys are just entering the Chiefs half.

10 points behind so they still have the option of kicking a field goal then trying to recover the onside kick but unless they score right away the onside kick is pretty much needed regardless.

  11. touchdown

Touchdown - Cardinalspublished at 00:19 Greenwich Mean Time 22 November 2021

    Arizona Cardinals 23-13 Seattle Seahawks

Lucky number 13 for James Conner who finds the end zone yet again for Arizona on a trademark one-yard rush to make it a 10-point game after Matt Prater this time manages to convert the extra point. We're just outside the two-minute warning.

  12. touchdown

Touchdown - Seahawkspublished at 00:09 Greenwich Mean Time 22 November 2021

    Arizona Cardinals 16-13 Seattle Seahawks

DeeJay Dallas burrows over from close range as Seattle battle right back into contention with the gap somehow now down to just three points - despite Arizona largely being the vastly superior side.

Cardinals kicker Matt Prater missing two field goals and an extra point hasn't helped but in truth it's Arizona's inability to make the end zone that's been the main problem.

  13. Fifth sack on Dakpublished at 00:06 Greenwich Mean Time 22 November 2021

Dallas Cowboys 9-19 Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs miss a field goal but it doesn't matter as the Chiefs take over again with a fifth sack on Dak Prescott forcing another Dallas punt.

Chris Jones has been a one-man wrecking crew tonight and he gets a piece of Prescott again to make it 3.5 sacks for him tonight in a monster performance.

  14. FT - Bengals brush aside Raiderspublished at 00:04 Greenwich Mean Time 22 November 2021

Cincinnati Bengals 32-13 Las Vegas Raiders

Joe Mixon scored two touchdowns as the Bengals easily overcame the Raiders in Las Vegas, who could manage just one trip to the end zone as they slipped to 5-5 for the season.

Cincy improve to 6-4 and stay well in the AFC North race and the rush for play-off places in the utter confusion that is the AFC.

  15. field goal

Field goal - Cowboyspublished at 23:57 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2021

Dallas Cowboys 9-19 Kansas City Chiefs

Dallas take the Greg Zuerlein field goal after another promising drive stalls yet again when the Chiefs defence does just enough to force the kick.

It's just not looked quite right for Dallas tonight but give credit to this Kansas City defence, which has been surprisingly stout and looking a world away from the awful mess it was at the start of the season.

  16. Cards in chargepublished at 23:54 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2021

    Arizona Cardinals 16-6 Seattle Seahawks

10 minutes left in Seattle and although it's only a 10-point game the Cardinals have been in the driving seat from the first kick-off really - they've just had a few problems being as clinical in finishing off drives.

  17. touchdown

Touchdown - Bengalspublished at 23:50 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2021

Cincinnati Bengals 29-13 Las Vegas Raiders

Joe Mixon is at it again, breaking tackles and breaking ankles as he dodges one way then the other to juke his way through the lacklustre Raiders defence for a 21-yard rushing TD that basically sews this game up.

  18. field goal

Field goal - Chiefspublished at 23:46 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2021

Dallas Cowboys 6-19 Kansas City Chiefs

Harrison Butker makes it from 53 yards downtown to extend the lead to 13, which is a decent advantage for the Chiefs as we end the third quarter.

Dallas need two touchdowns now to get their noses in front, so they probably have to go all-out to get one on this next drive.

  19. touchdown

Touchdown - Bengalspublished at 23:41 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2021

Cincinnati Bengals 22-13 Las Vegas Raiders

Twelve plays on the Bengals' drive, which lasts almost seven minutes, means they've had possession almost twice as long as the Raiders and they're rewarded with another touchdown, Joe Borrow floating a six-yard pass to Ja'Marr Chase in the back corner of the end zone.

That's a great response to the Raiders score, especially with just over five minutes left.

Evan McPherson misses the extra point though - that's the 17th missed kick of the day!

  20. field goal

Field goal Cowboyspublished at 23:31 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2021

Dallas Cowboys 6-16 Kansas City Chiefs

Dallas can't take full advantage of that latest interception as they make just 24 yards from seven plays before settling for a 30-yard field goal by Greg Zuerlein.
