San Francisco 49ers 3-7 Green Bay Packers

Arik Armstead comes up trumps for San Francisco as he sacks Aaron Rodgers as he was looking to find someone in the end zone, and that will limit the Packers to a field goal try.

  2. Inside the fivepublished at 03:28 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

San Francisco 49ers 3-7 Green Bay Packers

Allen Lazard becomes the first Packers receiver not named Davante Adams to catch a pass from Aaron Rodgers tonight.

And it picks up a first down around the five yard line.

  3. ouch!

Huge hit!published at 03:26 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

San Francisco 49ers 3-7 Green Bay Packers

Davante Adams takes yet another catch but is immediately laid out by a huge hit from from Emmanuel Mosley.

You could feel that one even watching on TV from home!

  4. End of the thirdpublished at 03:24 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

San Francisco 49ers 3-7 Green Bay Packers

It's second down for Green Bay after the break, on the 18 yard line of San Francisco so they'll want some points here.

A touchdown would put the Niners in a spot of bother - the visitors would probably settle for just allowing three here.

  6. What a catch!published at 03:20 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

San Francisco 49ers 3-7 Green Bay Packers

Who else? Davante Adams again skips away from his defender and with a low ball makes no mistake picking it up off his shoelaces for a 25-yard gain.

  7. First down strugglepublished at 03:17 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

San Francisco 49ers 3-7 Green Bay Packers

This is what the Titans should've done earlier on third-and-one, as the Packers just run Aaron Jones right up the gut and send in some back-up to force him over the line to gain.

    First down Green Bay.

  8. Sack!published at 03:12 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

San Francisco 49ers 3-7 Green Bay Packers

Jimmy G decides against making another risky throw, but that pause for thought allows Kenny Clark time to come in a drop the Niners QB.

That's a fourth sack on Garoppolo and the fourth that's come on third down.

  9. Close!published at 03:10 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

San Francisco 49ers 3-7 Green Bay Packers

That's two throws from Jimmy G on the last two drives that could, and perhaps should, have been picked off.

    He's treading a fine line....

  10. Deguara droppublished at 03:07 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

San Francisco 49ers 3-7 Green Bay Packers

Terrible drop by tight end Josiah Deguara when wide open sees the Packers drive stall and that's a great stop for San Francisco after getting points on the board.

Top tight end Robert Tonyan is out for Green Bay and he's a big miss as a premium pass catcher. Deguara is very much not.

  11. field goal

    Field goal - 49erspublished at 03:03 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

San Francisco 49ers 3-7 Green Bay Packers

San Francisco are on the board! Robbie Gould converts an easy 29-yard kick, although is any kick easy in this cold and with the snow streaming down?

Gould is a perfect 19/19 for kicks in the play-offs in his career.

  12. ouch!

Deebo downpublished at 03:00 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

San Francisco 49ers 0-7 Green Bay Packers

And now it's Deebo Samuel who needs attention after taking a big hit at the end of another sparkling run on third-and-16. He just fails to make a first down but it was a great effort.

He's just so explosive when he gets the ball - San Francisco will be desperate to see him continue.

  13. ouch!

Williams worry for 49erspublished at 02:58 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

San Francisco 49ers 0-7 Green Bay Packers

Big Trent Williams is limping and that'll be a worry for San Francisco, as the left tackle is one of the best in the game and keeps Garoppolo safe as well as exploding holes for the run game.

One to keep an eye on.

  14. Deebo again!published at 02:55 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

San Francisco 49ers 0-7 Green Bay Packers

Number 19 is such a danger, this time taking a flat pass 18 yards running beyond tacklers and through some.

Feeding Deebo is the key to winning this game for San Francisco.

  15. Great play!published at 02:51 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

San Francisco 49ers 0-7 Green Bay Packers

The 49ers struggled to get Deebo Samuel on the ball, so they put him on the kick-off! And it works a treat as he rips off a huge run taking the ball to midfield.

He lays a brutal hit on the Packers defender at the end of it as well.

  16. Who wins this now?published at 02:50 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

San Francisco 49ers 0-7 Green Bay Packers

The Packers looked better, but made mistakes, and the 49ers improved towards half time, and get the ball to start the second half.

    Who wins this game now?

Thumbs up for Packers, thumbs down for 49ers.

  19. Half-time - Packers lead despite missed field-goal attemptpublished at 02:43 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

San Francisco 49ers 0-7 Green Bay Packers

Nick Bosa forces a fumble from Aaron Rodgers on the next play but Green Bay recover it and they'll go for a field goal from 39 yards.

But a miserable year continues for Mason Crosby, whose effort is blocked by Jimmie Ward to make it 13 missed kicks this season by the Packers' long-serving kicker.

  20. Great play by Packers!published at 02:38 Greenwich Mean Time 23 January 2022

San Francisco 49ers 0-7 Green Bay Packers

The ball is back with Aaron Rodgers, who is swiftly out of the pocket and spots a blown coverage, floating a deep pass to Aaron Jones down the right sideline.

Jones gathers then turns to make a huge gain, for 75 yards, putting the Packers in the red zone with under a minute to the half.
