Jimmy Garoppolo finds George Kittle for another 12 yards to get the 49ers into the red zone.

But San Francisco then concede an offensive penalty and although Jimmy Garoppolo avoids being sacked on the next play, he forces a pass towards George Kittle which is picked off by Packers safety Adrian Amos.

Huge blow for the 49ers, just after they got some offence going and threatened to tie it before the half.

Elijah Mitchell rushes for a first down before Jimmy Garoppolo is flushed out of the pocket and he shovels the ball off to Mitchell, who gains a few more yards after the catch for the 49ers' biggest play yet - 16 yards.

It's plays like that which saw San Francisco lead the league for yards after the catch this season.

That takes us to the two-minute warning in Green Bay.

The 49ers finally make a first down and it's a way harder catch by George Kittle than the one the tight end dropped two possessions earlier.

Aaron Rodgers finds Davante Adams for a first down then jinks out of the pocket and keeps going but as he scans the backfield, Nick Bosa chases him down, diving to trip the Packers quarterback. The reigning MVP doesn't quite make the line of scrimmage so that'll go down as a sack.

The Packers then look like they'll go for it on fourth and two but no. Rodgers was just trying to draw a penalty from the 49ers and he fails to succeed so the Packers concede a delay of game penalty and have to punt.

Make that five straight three-and-outs. On third and eight, Rashan Gary gets to Jimmy Garoppolo to claim the Packers' third sack of the 49ers quarterback.

So far San Francisco have made -10 yards on offence and are yet to make a first down.

A pre-snap penalty leaves the Packers facing a third and eight, on which Aaron Rodgers is sacked for the first time today, by Samson Ebukam.

That makes it a three-and-out on four straight possessions in Green Bay.

The San Francisco offence has been cold, quite literally, with some drops and fumbles costing them while Green Bay have been marching but their own turnover stopped them in their tracks.

George Kittle of all people, the usually sure handed tight end, drops a sitter of a catch down the middle when wide open and having acres of Lambeau Field real estate to run in to.

That could have been a massive gain, but it costs the 49ers, who have to punt it away.

Good defence this time from San Francisco and it's a quick punt from Green Bay - and given that dubious turnover call, the 49ers are now in decent field position near halfway.

Rashan Gary this time gets his hands on Jimmy Garoppolo and despite the reprieve from the officials the 49ers still have to punt it away.

At least they have better field position.

Wow! That's a huge call from the officials who rule it an incomplete pass by judging that Aiyuk hadn't made a "football move" as the rules goes, before being hit.

Considering it was given an interception on the field that's a hugely big overrule. Packers head coach Matt LaFleur is not happy with that call.

Rasul Douglas looks to have done the exact same thing and punched the ball out of Brandon Aiyuk's hands.

The play will be reviewed as it was almost an instant hit but at full speed it looks like a fair enough turnover.

This could be big - Marcedes Lewis coughs up possession as he never really secures the catch properly and Fred Warner is able to punch it out of his grasp.

San Francisco recover with a turnover they badly needed as their defence was on the ropes.

Aaron Rodgers is brilliant, but he's often been let down in Green Bay by lacking a run game or a defence capable of getting back to the Super Bowl.

But in Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon then have two runners who just run it right up the gut, and they're getting chunks of yardage here by repeatedly just smacking the 49ers in the mouth (not literally).

Welcome back Za'Darius Smith! The outside linebacker hasn't played since the first week of the season due to injury, but he's looking sharp here as he drops Garoppolo.

Smith is Green Bay's best pass rusher so having him back could be huge, however many snaps he manages tonight on his return.

A false start on San Francisco as the home crowd really get into it early in the game. They then stuff Deebo Samuel to bring up third-and-long.

They call the red zone the gold zone up in Green Bay, either way it's still the 20-yard line and they're a couple of yards away as Davante Adams then takes another catch for a first down on the 11.

Nice catch and run out of the backfield from Aaron Jones, who takes it 19 yards for another first down and into 49ers territory.
