Joe Burrow goes down again as the Rams get more pressure through, and on third down it's a rare miss from the Bengals QB as his attempt to Chase is too low.

Burrow was under no real pressure so should have made that one really, and Cincinnati have to punt.

The Rams settle for three points from Matt Gay's boot, and that's a nice settling drive for LA after the assault launched by the Bengals in this second half.

Just four points in it now.

  3. Trick play doesn't workpublished at 01:53 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2022

Some trickeration from the depths of the Rams playbook as they hand the ball off and switch it to Cooper Kupp to throw the ball to Matthew Stafford of all people.

It's a copy of the Philly Special that the Eagles scored with in their Super Bowl win over the Patriots.

Unlike that one though, this one doesn't pay off as Kupp's throw is way off target. Probably best he stays as a receiver.

  4. Rams move the chainspublished at 01:50 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2022

Los Angeles Rams 13-20 Cincinnati Bengals

Cooper Kupp pops up with a first down catch, and Stafford will have to look his way even more now with Odell Beckham out.

Tight end Brycen Hopkins then takes a nice 16-yard catch and run showing some strength by taking three Bengals tacklers with him.

Matt: Yes, there was more than a hint of good fortune surrounding the early TD, but the Rams are in danger of imploding here!

Rhys Hopkins: 22 seconds of momentum swingin’ magic from the Cincinnati Bengals!

  6. field goal

Field goal - Bengalspublished at 01:44 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2022

Los Angeles Rams 13-20 Cincinnati Bengals

Evan McPherson steps up for a 38-yarder, and you know the rest - the rookie converts it to increase the lead and the Rams must have their heads spinning right now.

Aaron Donald is certainly fired up after a spot of handbags on the sidelines, and he responds with a sack on Joe Burrow to prevent them from going for a touchdown.

  7. Fourth down convertedpublished at 01:41 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2022

Los Angeles Rams 13-17 Cincinnati Bengals

Zac Taylor continues to be aggressive as the Bengals go for it on fourth down again, and this time Joe Burrow uses his legs to run for the yard needed to move the chains.

  8. Stafford picked offpublished at 01:38 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2022

What a start! We've had just two plays, the first was a Bengals TD and now the second is a Matthew Stafford interception!

This one's not on him, as receiver Ben Skowronek bobbles a catch and the ball falls nicely for Chidobe Awuzie to gobble it up.

  9. touchdown

    Higgins catches a 75-yard touchdown

What's this! Tee Higgins catches a 75-yard touchdown on the very first play of the half!

Just 12 second on the clock when Burrow launches the deep ball at Higgins, who is being covered by Jalen Ramsey and there look like more than a little contact from the receiver, but no flags.

We did talk about the Bengals being a third-quarter team, and having the big plays, but even for them that's an astonishing start.

  14. Bengals a strong second half sidepublished at 01:17 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2022

Nothing in this game at half-time, and that's positive for both of these side who were both behind in the Championship games.

The Bengals in particular have been a strong second half side this season, especially in the third quarter where they've outscored the opposition by 73 points this season.

The Rams have lost the third quarter in the play-offs by a combined 25-14. So can Cincinnati continue their third-quarter dominance?

  15. 'Since Beckham left the field the Rams can't move the ball'published at 01:09 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2022

Los Angeles Rams 13-10 Cincinnati Bengals

    Jason Bell
Former NFL cornerback on BBC TV

The Rams needed another threat. Odell Beckham Jr opened this offence up, if you can't get Cooper Kupp loose and can't run the ball, Beckham will come through. Since he left the field the Rams cannot move the ball.

  16. 'The Bengals offensive line is holding up well'published at 01:08 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2022

Los Angeles Rams 13-10 Cincinnati Bengals

    Efe Obada
    Buffalo Bills defensive end

The Bengals offensive line is holding up really well, keeping Aaron Donald in check. They are establishing the run and forcing the Rams defensive line to run lateral and getting the ball out quickly on the back of that.

  17. 'The longest 30 minutes of your life'published at 01:07 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2022

Los Angeles Rams 13-10 Cincinnati Bengals

    Osi Umenyiora
Two-time Super Bowl winner on BBC TV

Our head coach (Tom Coughlin) had been in the Super Bowl before and I remember him speaking all the time about that half-time. He said 'listen, it's going to be the longest 30 minutes of your life'.

First of all, you're in the Super Bowl, then for 30 minutes everything just shuts down. He kept on saying to stretch, do whatever you need to do, make sure you understand that this is going to be different. We (the New York Giants) went in with that mentality and we came out victorious.

  19. Half-timepublished at 01:02 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2022

Los Angeles Rams 13-10 Cincinnati Bengals

Nothing doing there for the Rams as they go three and out, before Joe Burrow kneels to bring up the half.

LA have given the locals two touchdowns to cheer, but the Bengals have replied each time to keep the underdogs very much in this one.

Super Bowl 56 is still there for the taking, but how will the Rams respond to that injury to Odell Beckham Jr?

Which way do you think it'll go? Hit thumbs up for the Rams, thumbs down for the Bengals.

  20. Bengals fail to take advantage of interceptionpublished at 00:59 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2022

Los Angeles Rams 13-10 Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals' defence enjoyed that pick a bit too much - they're hit with an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for their celebrations, which costs them 10 yards.

Cincinnati therefore start the drive at their own 10-yard line but only make one first down before being forced to punt.

The Rams get it back with 30 seconds to the half - and I bet Matthew Stafford is a relieved man.
