  4. We can't squander more games like this - Rodgerspublished at 18:33 British Summer Time 9 October 2022

New York Giants 27-22 Green Bay Packers

Green Bay have only lost 10 regular season games across the last three seasons but have already lost two in the current campaign.

Asked how far away the Packers are you from putting a complete game together, Aaron Rodgers added: "That's a tough question. The cliche answer would be really close. The actual answer is unknown, honestly.

"There's a standard that we've played at for a long time. Just because the faces change doesn't mean the standard changes. That's a hard concept I think to grasp at times.

"We hold ourselves to a really high standard. I hold myself to a high standard. We're just not quite there yet, so I trust Matt [LaFleur] and the staff and the conversations we'll have this week that we'll clean some things up.

"We're five weeks in, and there's a lot of football left. [We] can't squander any more games like this, though, because the season is going to be pretty tough."

  5. Rodgers apologises to European fanspublished at 18:23 British Summer Time 9 October 2022

New York Giants 27-22 Green Bay Packers

Aaron Rodgers was pretty deflated during his news conference. The Green Bay quarterback clearly felt the Packers let this game slip.

"Apologies for the disjointed performance," he said. “We had some opportunities in the second half.

"We're just not quite on the same page at times. We've got to go back and look at it. I don't want to make a blanket statement right now. Definitely not an emotional blanket statement."

But his mood improved when talking about the Packers' first trip to London.

"This was just a fantastic experience for all of us," he said. "There's guys in the locker room that have never been across the pond.

"Just the hospitality from the fans, when we were out, me and Allen [Lazard] on Friday, was outstanding. The crowd response today, taking the field, was incredible. Seeing the different flags from different countries was amazing. The crowd was outstanding. The fans were loud the entire time.

"I think we're all going to remember this for a long time. Even though it was a loss, it was a great experience."

"I'd love to come back, I really would," added the 38-year-old. "But that kind of remains to be seen - what year it is, where I'm at."

  6. 'We don't worry about the scoreboard'published at 18:18 British Summer Time 9 October 2022

New York Giants 27-22 Green Bay Packers

More from Giants head coach Brian Daboll:

"Aaron Rodgers is an exceptional quarterback but it's a team game and we had to play well to get ourselves in that position.

"We've got a long way to go still - it's a good win but we've still got a lot of things to clean up.

"We started off a little slow offensively, but it's a long game, you can start fast and fade out.

"We've preached not to worry about the scoreboard, just focus on the next play and do your job."

  9. 'It felt like an away game'published at 17:56 British Summer Time 9 October 2022

New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll:

"Good hard fought-win, competed for 60 minutes, we have a few bumps and bruises.

"I appreciated all the crowd support - a lot of Packers fans, felt like an away game. But at the end of the game it felt like a home game.

"To get that win, we were pretty excited.

"We play hard, the things we ask the players to do, they work extremely hard. We practice hard but smart. We play really good situational football.

"The quarterback [Daniel Jones] had an excellent game - and he's had a few of those."

  11. Packers can't find consistencypublished at 17:51 British Summer Time 9 October 2022

New York Giants 27-22 Green Bay Packers

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur has won more games in his first three years in the league than anyone, but he's struggling to get any consistency into his team this season.

"It's just as disappointing as it gets for us," he's just said in his press conference.

"You've got to give credit to New York as they outplayed us and out coached us. We’ve just got to regroup now.

"There were some costly penalties that gave them some life on some drives and you just can’t do that in this league.

"We’ve just got to be more consistent, because there were times when we looked pretty good out there but we just can’t seem to keep it going. Every game has been a bit like that."

No doubt our Man of the Match here, and that's Saquon Barkley, who battled a shoulder injury to provide all of the brightest moments in an upset win for the Giants.

Barkley ran the ball 13 times for 70 yards and a touchdown, while also adding three catches for 36 yards. When it came to the crunch, Green Bay had no answer.

  14. FT - Giants bag huge upset!published at 17:33 British Summer Time 9 October 2022

New York Giants 27-22 Green Bay Packers

Not many gave the Giants a chance coming in, and after the first half you still wouldn't as Green Bay moved the ball with ease.

But with some half-time adjustments, a much-improved defensive effort and a huge dose of Saquon Barkley Big Blue produced a brilliant second half and a deserved win in the end.

The Giants concede two points by taking the safety, chewing up a few more seconds on the clock and escaping having to punt it from their own end zone.

They'll now kick off from the 20 and leave Aaron Rodgers with seven seconds left.

Rodgers pass deflected again! This time the ball sails to the ground with nobody near it but that means the Packers come up empty handed and the Giants get the ball back after a tremendous defensive stop!

We're heading for another fourth quarter epic here...

New York Giants 27-20 Green Bay Packers

Aaron Jones takes the ball into the Giants territory as Green Bay try to stay in the game - they've not been been able to bottle up Barkley so you'd think they probably need seven here.
