"For me, tonight has put him at the top table. When you talk about the greatest distance runners of the world, he has gone alongside them.

"For me, I would say Mo is the greatest sportsman Britain has ever had."

  2. Farah wins the 5,000m & 10,000m doublepublished at 12:53

The 'cameraman on segway' has been following Mo Farah. But not even he could trip up Farah in his moment of glory.

Although he has been congratulated by men dressed in Batman and Spiderman costumes. Disturbing.

Mo is the greatest sportsman that Britain has ever had. And I say that with some consideration.

"Mo Farah, what can we say about him? He knows he was up against a tough man. The man who thought he could take on Mo but when he challenged him, Mo responded. Mo has delighted us tonight and it has been a pleasure watching the journey that started in sadness for him in 2008."

"They have got nothing for him. Mo streaks away and gold again. It does not matter what they do. They got in front of him - doesn't matter he doesn't care. He takes anything they give and betters it. Mo Farah as good as he has ever been but he was tested to his limits."

Five world titles! He's done the triple-double.

    Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow!

Who thought he wouldn't do it? He was tested to the limit by Commonwealth champion Caleb Ndiku. The Kenyan must have thought that he had it in the bag when he led in the final straight, but then came the rocket Farah in the manner we have seen time and time again.

What a sprint finish. Truly magnificent.

Ndiku still leads. Has Farah got the legs?

Kenya's Caleb Ndiku has hit the front. Mo Farah is about two metres behind him. Farah's training partner Galen Rupp is there too. One lap left.

They have all bunched behind Mo Farah. The three Ethiopians are breathing down his neck. Watch out for for Kenya's Caleb Ndiku too.

There are three laps to go. What will Mo Farah do - will he try to break them now?

"Four laps to go and if this was a four lap race you would bet your house on Mo Farah. He always knows when to deliver the killing move."

The 10,000km and 5,000km were so dominated by Ethiopians and Kenyans so for Mo to come in, win the World Championships, then repeat it at the Olympic and continue on through 2013 and no 2015, it is unprecedented. What he is going for today is unprecedented and by all accounts he should be successful today.
