    Women's 1500m final

Caster Semenya was nowhere with 200m to go, maybe sixth or seventh, but finished so well.

WHAT a finish from Jenny Simpson too, she ghosted in on the inside in the last 50m or so to take silver. Canny.

    Women's 1500m final

That's why the 1500m is such a good event to watch. The winning time of 4:02:59 has been bettered by nine athletes in the field this year alone, but it's not always about times. Laura Muir tried to control the race from the front all the way.

Muir wound it up and she just ran out of legs in those final 20 minutes. The master tactician of Jenny Simpson of the USA again gets on the podium.

Two Brits in the top six is phenomenal but Laura Muir in that fourth position, that is heartbreak, absolute heartbreak. The world record holder finished 12th. That's where we are at with this event.

Jenny Simpson was second. Great run.
