    Darren Campbell
Former British sprinter on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

Even down the home straight Mo Farah was still fighting to try and win that gold. Down the straight he was fourth. You saw after the 5k heat, he was walking with fatigue.

We haven't seen that in his career. He knew he could only go to the well so many times. He wanted to come here and make everyone proud. Well, I for one am proud. A fantastic performance. No disgrace.

It was a beautifully judged last 600m from champion Muktar Edris, the Ethiopian had more in the tank than anyone else and he had the sort of kick finish that we have seen so often from Mo Farah in the last six years.

It's a first major medal for Edris.

In my head and my heart I didn't think anyone could genuinely beat Mo Farah but that 10k at the start of the week took so much out of it. Edris, we take our hat off to you. This man has beaten the legend that is Mo Farah in his own back yard.

So many times we have seen Mo Farah collapse to the track, usually in prayer and disbelief. Now he is in pain. He was in real trouble with maybe 300m to go and managed to fight back into second, but Muktar Edris had too much of a lead.

I am seeing an angry Mo Farah out there. He is holding his own. His elbows are out and is not liking the others trying to take his inside line. They haven't done anything yet that will destroy him on the final lap.
