I am excited about it. I am not nervous. Mo Farah started the championships brilliantly, he is going to end it brilliantly.

There is far too much bumping and shoving, more than ever before.

There are too many of them doing it.

Kendra Harrison, one of four Americans in the final, broke a 28-year-old world record in this stadium 12 months ago at the Anniversary Games, but she only scraped into the final after clattering the first hurdle.

London 2012 champion Sally Pearson looks in good form and could stop the United States from a clean sweep. Jamaica's Danielle Williams, the reigning world champion, crashed out in the semi-finals

Those clearances from Morgan Lake and KJT are ramping up an already febrile atmosphere still further. It's been cold in here some nights, wet on others. This is starting to feel a little special.

Wow! Katarina Johnson-Thompson sails over 1.95m - and I mean sails over! Massive daylight between her and the bar.

If she can keep that up she'll win a medal surely!

I know it sounds very simplistic, but the higher the bar goes, the longer you have to jump up for.

So you have to make adjustments to your timing all the way through.

At one height it's 'wait, wait wait' - then go over. At the next height, it's 'wait, wait, wait, WAIT' then go over....

Keni Harrison has been the best in the world over 100m hurdles for a few years - but hasn't got the silverware to go with it.

She was disqualified at the semi-final stage in Beijing in 2015 and failed to make the plane for Rio having finished sixth at the cutthroat US trials. Weeks after that disappointment, the reigning Diamond League champion set the world record of 12.20 seconds at the Anniversary Games – in London.
