    In she runs, jumping high, and the white flag goes up... but it's only 6.45m!

    So no improvement, and she'll miss the cut-off. She looks disappointed and one of her Australian colleagues is on hand to give her a hug.

    There's a decent crowd in the stadium today - they went wild yesterday for home town hero Mutaz Essa Barshim.

    15 months ago, he couldn't walk. Yesterday he became the first man to successfully defend a world high jump title.

    Malaika Mihambo is going to be confident now. It allows you to go and get your bag, get back to the village and put your feet up.

    If she does it in the final it will blow the competition apart. She will be able to get her bag and go and wait for the medal ceremony.

    I think it was a better jump.Hopefully she won't need to make the qualification mark to make the final.

    Seven-time world champion Brittney Reese is on her way for her second jump, and she's just short again! Reese puts a hand to her head as she looks back at the sand. She's set off from behind the board again, and she's still short of the qualiftying distance at 6.43m.
