  1. Round Fivepublished at 23:32 British Summer Time 8 April 2017

    Flanagan v Petrov

Right then, Petr Petrov tries to get up close to Terry Flanagan but the British fighter is able to maintain a good distance.

He's got the longer reach and, most likely, the rounds in the bag so far.

You feel like this one is still waiting to come to life...

  2. Round Fourpublished at 23:29 British Summer Time 8 April 2017

    Flanagan v Petrov

I think Terry Flanagan senses he has to pick up the pace. A long right-handed reacher from Petr Petrov can't quite connect and Flanagan looks to counter.

He fires in a rapid right-hand jab and then sends Petrov tumbling, but the diminutive challenger regains his feet.

A strong finish from the defending champion.

  3. Round Fourpublished at 23:28 British Summer Time 8 April 2017

    Flanagan v Petrov

This Manchester Arena crowd is yet to really find its voice.

Terry Flanagan comes out with a little bit more urgency than in the first few rounds, but it's a good exchange from Petr Petrov that catches the eye.

  4. Round Threepublished at 23:26 British Summer Time 8 April 2017

    Flanagan v Petrov

Right, can Terry Flanagan up this a little? He's taken the first two rounds but the crowd want more.

He lets Petr Petrov come onto him, but is just waiting for a loose one from the challenger. Not too much in that one, but I'm sure Flanagan will be the happier.

  5. Round Threepublished at 23:24 British Summer Time 8 April 2017

    Flanagan v Petrov

Petr Petrov just doesn't stop moving. It's like he's got an itch, bouncing around, hustling and hands twitching.

He's a ball of pent up energy, while Terry Flanagan looks more relaxed.

He dips away from a Petrov charge but the pair then end up grappling and the challenger gets a warning for a cheap shot.

  6. Round Twopublished at 23:22 British Summer Time 8 April 2017

    Flanagan v Petrov

Petr Petrov flicks a left glove towards Terry Flanagan but the Manchester man is equal to that and brings a roar from the home crowd as he catches the challenger.

But Petrov isn't fazed, he charges in again and a right hand rocks the home fighter. Better from the Spanish-based boxer towards the end of that round.

  7. Round Twopublished at 23:20 British Summer Time 8 April 2017

    Flanagan v Petrov

There's the bell for round two, and it's Terry Flanagan who makes the first move this time.

Flanagan has the height advantage over Petr Petrov, the contender's baggy red shorts dropping below his knees to make him look even more squat.

Petrov launches in with a left, but Flanagan saw that one coming a long way off.

  8. Round Onepublished at 23:18 British Summer Time 8 April 2017

    Flanagan v Petrov

Terry Flanagan scores with a right and then throws a lovely little left-right combo, catching Petr Petrov low.

The challenger decides it's time to stride forward but Flanagan counters smartly. He's quick on the jab as Petrov looks to struggle to find his footing slightly.

  9. Round Onepublished at 23:16 British Summer Time 8 April 2017

    Flanagan v Petrov

Petr Petrov is twitching, looking for a gap in Terry Flanagan's defence, but the Manchester man seems composed and comfortable enough to take his time.

They're trying to size each other up at the minute. Not wishing to commit.

That's got the crowd going. Although I reckon they'll be split by his choice of song, it's Manchester City anthem Blue Moon.

He's looking like a lean, mean.... title-defending machine?

    Right then.

Next up, it's Manchester's own Terry Flanagan. That's who the crowd at Manchester Arena have paid the big bucks to see.

Right, before we get to the main event tonight there's a little bit of news from the earlier fight between Liam Smith and Liam Williams to bring you...
