    Ryan Burnett v Yonfrez Parejo

Yonfrez Parejo is still active, still trying to make an impact on this fight, but he just can't get close to Ryan Burnett. Every time he thinks he knows where Burnett is, the Northern Irishman vanishes.

Burnett is too fast, too skilful and too good at the moment. Nine rounds gone, nine minutes left for Parejo to turn this one around.

If you’re just about to decorate the front room and can’t decide on a floral picture or maybe some scenic landscape, why not sack the idea off and go for some Anthony Joshua artwork.

Welsh artist Patrick Killian has made Joshua and Joseph Parker his subject. He’s made just 21 copies of the picture above as this is Joshua’s 21st fight.

Both AJ and Parker have been into his gallery to give the work a thumbs up.

  3. Hatton predicts Joshua win, via stoppagepublished at 21:09 British Summer Time 31 March 2018

Anthony Joshua v Joseph Parker (WBA, IBF, WBO, IBO Heavyweight titles)

Former two-weight world champion Ricky Hatton: "Parker has quick hands for a heavyweight and he could give Joshua problems for a few rounds.

"But can he do it for 12 rounds? I don't think he can. I can see Joshua getting to him in the middle rounds and stopping him in the second half of the fight."

    Ryan Burnett v Yonfrez Parejo

Anthony Crolla had to battle a cut over his eye against Edson Ramirez earlier on, and Ryan Burnett also has something similar to deal with going into round eight.

It is not the worst of cuts you will see by any means, but a sign that he can't get too complacent and there is still work to be done to get the win over Yonfrez Parejo.

Paris Stavrinidis: So many, but Kirkland Laing unpredictable, great on his day, could be caught, but a class act, should have achieved so much more.

Andy McDonnell: Got to be Nigel Benn for me his no nonsense attacking style made the middleweight decision come alive.

Nick Smethurst: My favourite British boxer has to be Frank Bruno from my youth, followed by Naseem Hamed from my twenties and then Tyson Fury after his title win, which was just amazing.

    Ryan Burnett v Yonfrez Parejo

Cocky, but talented. Ryan Burnett is putting on a show for the fans in Cardiff. He still has his arms by the side for the majority of the time, teasing his opponent by sticking his head out and causing the Venezuelan to throw and miss.

Parejo needs to go on the attack, and Burnett, after seven of the scheduled 12 rounds, is well on his way to his 19th win from 19 professional fights.

  7. Crolla fulfills 11-year aimpublished at 21:01 British Summer Time 31 March 2018

It means a lot to the Welsh boxers to fight in Wales' national stadium but it means a lot to a proud Englishman too if he just so happens to be a student of the Sweet Science.

A young Anthony Crolla was at the then Millennium Stadium in 2007 when Joe Calzaghe beat Mikkel Kessler to unify the super middleweight division.... and he was there as a paying fan.

Tonight was also Crolla's first stadium fight so while his contest was not the most memorable of his career, it will be very special night for the popular Mancunian.

Tom and Matt get a little reward tonight.

They attended some of Anthony Joshua’s early fights but have never been able to get to one of his huge world title fights from their Leeds base.

The hard yards they did are now paid back, as they witness this piece of British sporting history.

Tom (left) says Joshua will “absolutely hammer” Joseph Parker early on.

Matt though comes out with the classic Mike Tyson line when talking about Parker.

“Everyone has a plan until they get hit.”

    Nice.

    Ryan Burnett v Yonfrez Parejo

Ryan Burnett is giving the impression that he has this one in the bag already.

Arms down by his side, goading his opponent into throwing and quickly, using his lightning reflexes, landing the punch first. Five gone, Burnett may have taken them all.

Joe Calzaghe - retired undefeated. World super middleweight champion for over a decade and had superb boxing skills. Continues to be very underrated!

    Owen, Camden

For me it has to be Lloyd Honeyghan. He beat the top pound-for-pounder (Don Curry) in his own backyard. What a performance!

    Nick, Worksop

The best has to be Chris Eubank, great boxer, superb character!

    Ryan Burnett v Yonfrez Parejo

Three rounds gone for Ryan Burnett and it is all going just as he would hope for at the moment. His WBA bantamweight belt is on the line as Yonfrez Parejo hopes to become the first man to beat the Northern Irish fighter.

Work for the Venezuelan to do.

Or this group from Essex, there’s a football match atmosphere at Anthony Joshua bouts now. The number of people you speak to who have never been to a live boxing show before is striking.

The draw of Joshua sucks them in. He is one of few boxers globally who people simply want to say they’ve seen.

John: Probably Lennox Lewis was the best and Ricky Hatton as favorite.

Andy Limb: Barry McGuigan. Was in hospital when he beat Pedroza to win the world title. He never stopped coming forward. Inspirational.

Matt: Calzaghe. Proved himself at two weight divisions as well as going over to America and maintaining a 46-0 record.

Anthony Joshua will earn an estimated £15m for this fight and sell out a third stadium event in 11 months, taking the total of sold seats to a quarter of a million.

"This has never happened in British boxing before," promoter Eddie Hearn told BBC Sport. "We should appreciate it, embrace it and have a great time.

"Isn't it great that everyone from around the world is tuning in and people will be saying 'that's in Britain'. We are the envy of the boxing world."

When you see the number of chairs in briefing rooms for security at this event, you get a sense of how hard it is to deliver.

As promoter Eddie Hearn told BBC Sport this week, it’s not like turning up at the O2 Arena for organisers. They need to liaise with the council, police and various stakeholders to make it happen.

Still, everyone seems to be having fun and making a few quid, so it’s worth it is it not?

Take a look at some clips from around Cardiff.

Ryan Burnett v Yonfrez Parejo - WBA Bantamweight Championship

Ryan Burnett says there will be no danger of him being overawed by the 80,000 crowd in Cardiff when he defends his WBA bantamweight title against Venezuela's Yonfrez Parejo

"I'm just blessed to be a part of it," he said. "I have not done anything differently, I have approached this in the same way as how I approached my debut. As soon as I got my hands on the world title everyone wanted a piece of me.

"It's a great opportunity for me, everyone in the boxing world will be watching. You will see me put on a career-best performance."
