    He's boxing beautifully, Frampton. He is the master at judging the distance. He slips just an inch out of range and then he is back to counter.

    Sometimes he slipped and was the aggressor. Maybe that's something he has worked on.

    A touch of gloves mid-round, a sign of respect between these former champions.

    Donaire tries to hold his ground in the middle of the ring but Frampton still finds a way to drive him into the ropes and try to land a flurry of punches.

    Donaire has a cut above his eye from an earlier clash of heads but it's not bleeding and doesn't seem to be opening up further.

    Frampton in control, ensuring 'The Filipino Flash' can't land anything despite his reach advantage.

    Frampton is boxing very well. A quieter round, but it's because Frampton is boxing on the back foot so he can counter. Frampton is at his best when he has a fighter who comes at him.

    The fighters trade jabs to start round eight after the excitement of the previous round.

    A cagey first minute but then Frampton goes on the attack. Good defence from Donaire before 'The Jackal' connects with a couple of jabs.

    Frampton waits for his opening, happy to duck under any counter-attack. No opening emerges and he just dances away, knowing that was likely another round in his favour.

    Donaire fought with his back to the ropes in his own corner, but he's using all the tricks you learn from years of boxing and he's keeping Carl honest. He landed some heavy shots of his own.

    That uppercut shook Frampton but he's back on the attack.

    Donaire is on the back foot near the ropes as the referee steps in and resets.

    Frampton goes to work again but can't land another major blow before the bell.

    Best round of the fight so far - Frampton's on balance but that was a cracking right uppercut from Donaire.

    Donaire is pinned to his own red corner, trying to counter attack but Frampton has him bogged down.

    'The Jackal' cracks him with a vicious left uppecut.

    But then Donaire rocks him with a venomous shot of his own!

    Donaire turns away to ask for a time out but Frampton continues his attack and comes forward.

    Frampton boxed beautifully that round. Showed the full array of his skills. Setting all the traps, and unfortunately for Donaire he's falling for all of them.

    He'll look to lay it on heavy now and get the stoppage.

    Frampton hooks in a right that catches part of Donaire's shoulder before getting through to the chin.

    The home boxer happy to keep the Filipino at bay and reduced to jabs. A solid shot does get through from Donaire but Frampton shakes it off.

    Frampton ducks under Donaire and a tangle of legs causes the Filipino to fall. Not a knockdown at all, purely accidental.

    The bell goes and 'The Jackal' raises his hand to acknowledge the crowd.

    Donaire, whatever he does, cannot repel the onslaughts from Frampton.

    Frampton is showing the greater strength. He lifts his chin as to admire his work in round five.

    A cagey first minute to start round five. Frampton then gets Donaire on the ropes and opens up but the Filipino neatly swerves away from danger.

    Donaire tries to hit back but most punches are glancing off Frampton's gloves and arms.

    Frampton again drives Donaire back into the ropes, gets hit with an uppercut, but lands a few scoring blows of his own.

    'The Jackal' closes with a couple of jabs.

    Carl Frampton is sending a message out to every featherweight in the world. He is fighting inside, outside, judging his punches by an inch - when he wanted to, he bullied Donaire.

    The writing is on the wall for Donaire. Frampton is enjoying this, when the time is right he'll end this. I have all four rounds for Frampton.

    Frampton happy to defend but then steps in with a flurry. 'The Jackal' is getting the better of the close-range combat.

    A big right hand from the Northern Irishman connects and the crowd roar.

    'The Jackal' drives Donaire back into a neutral corner and opens up with four quick hits, two of which land.

    Frampton on top.

    He is boxing very well, Carl Frampton. It is as good as I have ever seen him. He looks sharp, he looks crisp.

    Donaire is targeting the body. He was loading up on those punches, trying to throw that home run punch - I'm not sure how long he thinks he has left.

    Frampton connects with a right early on. How bad will that swelling under Donaire's left eye get?

    A right hook from the Northern Irishman glances off the top of Donaire's head. Frampton misses with a left-right but sticks in a neat jab that connects at the end.

    Sharp work from Frampton, swaying away and rocking back in defence whenever Donaire goes after him.

    The home boxer dances away from two rights late on. Too quick for Donaire.

    A round in which the fight has really come to life. The swelling beneath the left eye of Donaire appears to be growing.

    The crowd are buoyed by the early work of Frampton in that round. The scouting reports are over, and both men are unleashing heavy shots.

    A better round for Frampton.

    Frampton pins Donaire in the corner and goes to work. A flurry of punches is only broken up when the referee steps in to warn against use of the head.

    Donaire comes back and lands with some more body blows. There is already visible swelling below the Filipino's left eye though.

    A cagey spell follows before Frampton clips Donaire with a right. Donaire responds with a series of heavy uppercuts.

    Excellent work by Frampton early in the round but Donaire hit back.

    Very hard to split them. Not a lot of scoring punches landed. Frampton is standing on his back foot, trying to set traps and draw Donaire in - Donaire, with all his experience, is not falling for it.
