Amir Khan says the emergence of Anthony Joshua has inspired him to take a fight in the UK for the first time in five years.

Khan said world heavyweight champion Joshua "cleaning up, knocking guys out and selling stadiums" has put British boxing "on a high".

His last bout in Britain ended in a unanimous points victory over Julio Diaz in Sheffield in 2013.

It's been almost two years since Khan's last fight - a brutal knockout by Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez in a middleweight title bout in Las Vegas.

Back at super welterweight after a series of personal problems and a stint on 'I'm a Celebrity...', the Bolton boxer takes on Canada's Lo Greco at Liverpool's Echo Arena.

It's also Khan's first fight with trainer Joe Goossen, hired in March after Virgil Hunter had to step aside because of health issues.

This is also the fight fight of a new BBC Radio 5 live deal with promoter Frank Warren.

    Frampton v Donaire

Luckily for Frampton, promoter Frank Warren says he can make that desired world title fight at Belfast's Windsor Park happen this summer.

If Frampton wins of course, which Warren can't guarantee.

And for good reason - Donaire is a former four-weight world champion and "the best foreign fighter who has ever appeared in Belfast," according to Warren.

'The Filipino Flash' is now 35 though and has had two defeats in his last nine fights following the loss of his WBO super-bantamweight title to Guillermo Rigondeaux in 2013.

    Frampton v Donaire

Let's start with Carl Frampton taking on Nonito Donaire in the WBO interim featherweight title bout at the SSE Arena in Belfast.

The Northern Irishman had a brilliant 2016 - beating Scott Quigg to add the WBA super-bantamweight title to his IBF belt, before becoming WBA world featherweight champion with victory over Leo Santa Cruz.

But then in 2017, Santa Cruz won the rematch and Frampton had to battle to a points win over Horacio Garcia after 10 months out of the ring.

Donaire is Frampton's first fight of 2018. Win and 'The Jackal' may well get another shot at becoming world champion. Lose and that dream of a world title fight at Windsor Park may be over.
