Round 2: Carl Frampton v Luke Jackson

A cut around the eye of Carl Frampton. That could well spice things up. Jackson lands his best punch of the contest, a straight right, in the last seconds of the second round as well.

Better from him, and that slight cut to Frampton will give Jackson something to target. Probably still Frampton's round though.

Round 2: Carl Frampton v Luke Jackson

Luke Jackson takes a straight right to the face and is forced back on to the ropes. Every time he attacks, his target has moved. Frampton then works the body.

Round 1: Carl Frampton v Luke Jackson

Luke Jackson can't get anywhere close to Carl Frampton, who is fast, accurate and very lively. A perfect start for him and the home crowd.

"Frampton is on fire, Jackson is terrified," is the Belfast crowd's twist on that Will Grigg song during Euro 2016.

You know the one. You were singing it non stop two years ago, even when you didn't want to.

Now the atmosphere is getting going. This is the moment the home fans have been waiting for all night, and the moment Carl Frampton has been waiting a lifetime for - headlining a show with a world title on the line at Windsor Park.

Much has been said about Deontay Wilder's ringside presence tonight as Tyson Fury goes at it in the ring which is perhaps why fewer column inches have been devoted to the fact IBF world featherweight champion Josh Warrington will be present too.

The Leeds fighter, who claimed his title from Lee Selby in his home city in May, is hotly tipped to face Frampton next, either in Belfast or back in Yorkshire.

"I've said I wouldn't mind an away day and coming over here but with that said, I am champion," Warrington told IFL TV. "Negotiations just need to get underway and get finalised rather than rumors and talks. It's a bit frustrating as I want something set in stone as I'm back in the gym already. If I can get in with Carl before the end of the year it would be fantastic."

Asked if he will be getting in the ring after Frampton's bout tonight he adds: "I'll see if they want me to do so, get in there and size them up."

Andrew Priestley: Now for the make-or-break fight for the hometown favourite Carl Frampton. A win opens all sorts of doors, a defeat spells career disaster and a possible retirement. Defeat in Belfast, at Windsor Park is not an option though.

Carl Frampton is a heavy favourite but Luke Jackson is not concerned about life's odds.

"I have mental health issues," he candidly tells BBC Sport. "I lived with a condition for 28 years of my life and didn't understand it. OCD, people think it's just touching stuff or washing your hands. Since I started seeing someone about it I understand it."

The Australian, 33, has faced suicidal thoughts, at one point began the habit of driving certain stretches of road with his eyes closed and says he has even pointed a loaded crossbow down his own throat.

"I'm not scared to admit that I need help," he says., external "I don't deserve to live like that, I don't think anyone does. A lot of people think that mental illness is weak, but I dare anyone to walk a week in my shoes and see if you can handle what I do."

Featherweight is probably the hottest division in world boxing right now and what will probably happen next is Warrington versus Frampton, so there is so much at stake for Frampton.

I was sat in front of Luke Jackson's family recently and they were saying how good his camp had been. They were relating a lot to the state of his mental health, which rises and drops and they can't guess when.

The form of OCD he has triggers negative thoughts. One way it manifests itself is during a fight he has to touch the ropes with both hands every round, he says to ward off forces and negative thoughts.

Seeing him though, it struck me how old he looks for 33. I also feel he may have struggled to make the 126lbs weight a bit too.

Good news everyone, as of about half a hour ago ponchos are back in vogue. The heavens are open and everyone without a front row seat is getting soaked.

Not that's it's dampening spirits as the main event isn't far away.

It is August in Belfast, so what do you expect?
