Joe Joyce speaking to BT Sport: "I just thought I'd try out some new stuff. I just thought I start fast and see what would come back."He is a seasoned veteran, every round he was different and he was obviously listening to his corner.

"Thanks to my corner in the dressing room, I came in warm and ready and it's great to put a performance in here in Stevenage. I'm already looking forward to getting back in the gym and fighting again in July.

"I'd like a world title by the end of the year and set myself up for some really big fights in 2020."

  5. Joyce wins in round three...published at 22:07 British Summer Time 18 May 2019

    Joyce beats Ustinov

A crackerjack left hand on the ropes brings about the end of the evening for Alexander Ustinov.

It's a hook, a loaded one at that, and Ustinov cannot make the count.

Joe Joyce does some kind of whacky flip as he makes it nine wins from nine.

  6. Ustinov down!published at 22:05 British Summer Time 18 May 2019

    Joyce v Ustinov

Alexander Ustinov lands a right hand of his own in the third and all it does is anger Joe Joyce. The Briton brings pressure, as is always his way. Walk forward and club away is very much the Joyce mantra.

Joyce goes looking for Ustinov in the corner, he's no set of car keys so it will not be hard to locate him.

Here we go, big chance here, club, club, left hand... down goes Ustinov.

  9. Round two...published at 22:01 British Summer Time 18 May 2019

    Joyce v Ustinov

Round one ticks away with Joe Joyce boxing at his pace and very much in charge against Alexander Ustinov.

A big left hook with a minute of the second round remaining sends Ustinov off to his left under pressure.

Ustinov's eyes are wide, like a man in the headlights. A chopping right hand lands on his temple as the bell rings.

Joyce doing a Manchester City so far...

  10. Postpublished at 21:56 British Summer Time 18 May 2019

    Joyce v Ustinov

We are about to get rolling.

Joe Joyce, a man with eight wins from eight and potentially big things to come.

Alexander Ustinov, 34 wins, three losses and at 42, has plenty of know how.

British heavyweight Nathan Gorman has a clear winner...

So it's now dark and to be fair Alexander Ustinov is blocking out any light that remains.

The Belarus-based dud walking to the ring to some obscure music. It sounds a bit like the Cheeky Girls but if the Cheeky Girls were a bit hungover, you know, like a slowed down version.

Joe Joyce on his way next...

  12. Postpublished at 21:44 British Summer Time 18 May 2019

Billy Joe Saunders speaking to BT Sport: "This is just business. I got a world title took off me in 2018, it's 2019 now and I'm getting it back."It's serious. I'm feeling fit, I'm feeling strong and moving up a weight. If you don't get hit you can't get beat and that's the game plan I use at all times."I believe what level I'm at, I believe I'm a lot higher than this and we'll see tonight."

  13. A big night for Billpublished at 21:44 British Summer Time 18 May 2019

    Saunders v Isufi

    Billy Joe SaundersImage source, .

So we've mentioned Naoya Inoue, we know Joe Joyce is heading out soon and we know Tyson Fury has a bold suit on but the real reason we are here and I'm typing these words is Billy Joe Saunders.

He had a stinker of 2018 and I mean stinker.

Now he gets a shot to become a two-weight world champion, with German-based Serb Shefat Isufi stood in his way.

"Saunders is an enigma," said 5 Live boxing analyst Steve Bunce. "I'm not saying this is the last chance saloon as he's only 29 but there are not many more chances if he were to fail or look dismal. That in some ways makes this the most important fight of his career."

  14. A KO and a dry run...published at 21:37 British Summer Time 18 May 2019

    Joyce v Ustinov

    Joe JoyceImage source, Getty Images

British heavyweight Joe Joyce is about to get the knock on his dressing room door as it's time to take on Alexander Ustinov.

He's spoken to BT Sport before his warm-up and says he's ventured out into the stadium earlier to get a feel for the occasion.

"It was a little dry run to walk through step by step where I'm going so I don't get there and think 'what am I doing'.

"I've a had a brief look at some of his fights and kind of know where to go with it so I'm prepared.

"It wasn't until today I thought 'yeah I'm fighting tonight' and had a buzz for it."

How does the night end? "Me doing a combination on him and hopefully knocking him out, getting my hand raised and getting ready to go again in July."

  16. The Monster wins again...published at 21:26 British Summer Time 18 May 2019

    Inoue into WBSS final...

Away from Stevenage tonight there's a big fight card at the Hydro in Glasgow where Josh Taylor bids for a world title for the first time. That contest will be available in a live text shortly but on the undercard we have a big win which is making waves.

Some of you may have heard of Japan's Naoya Inoue, a 5ft 5in specimen known as 'The Monster'.

He is very, very, very hyped and has just wiped out Emmanuel Rodriguez (who impressed me massively in beating Paul Butler last May) in just two rounds.

As you can see, British heavyweight Dave Allen and boxing writer Tom Craze are blown away by the two round demolition.

Inoue moves into the World Boxing Super Series final and now holds the IBF and WBA world titles at bantamweight.

  18. Wraps, pads and punishmentpublished at 21:18 British Summer Time 18 May 2019

So I can tell you Billy Joe Saunders is getting his hands wrapped and should be in the ring in around an hour.

Joe Joyce is hitting pads in his dressing room and should be with us in 30 minutes or so.

Deontay Wilder is probably taking a nap in New York before his early morning show down.

The Eurovision Song Contest is also taking place but the only place you want to be right now is the Lamex Stadium, Stevenage.

Your ear drums don't get punished and you get to see a world title contested.

  20. You lucky, lucky people...published at 21:09 British Summer Time 18 May 2019

    A big night in Stevenage

    Lamex StadiumImage source, Getty Images

We're at the home of Stevenage FC, the rain is holding off, men have gloves on and dance around a ring in shorts. They throw punches, Tyson Fury has a horrendous suit on, Billy Joe Saunders is back from horror times, Joe Joyce is here with his ever widening shoulders and BBC Radio 5 live will bring you the best commentary.

Throw in the fact we will bring you every cough and splutter in this live text and you're set. Oh, and by the way, we are live-texting the Deontay Wilder fight at around 03:00 BST too.

You guys are just getting it too good. Bottom line. Too good.
