Chris Algieri is on the canvas, but was that just a loss of balance rather than a knockdown?

Conor Benn makes a contact with the left hand but it doesn't look like enough to nearly send his opponent through the ropes.

    Nonetheless, it's an exciting round.

I don't think Algieri has 12 rounds in him tonight.

A really good round from Benn, plenty of controlled aggression.

Algieri walked into one in the body. That will hurt in the later rounds.

    Benn v Algieri

Like Katie Taylor in the fight before, Conor Benn begins with a measured start.

He lands with a crunching body shot. Chris Algieri looks like he may have felt that one.

But the former world champion is an experienced fighter and he gets through with a left hook.

Katie Taylor, speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live:

"The biggest fight possible is the Amanda Serrano fight, that would be the most iconic fight out there at the moment. It's exciting to be involved in the biggest fight possible.

"It will happen one day but I'm certainly not thinking of retirement right now, everyone else is thinking about it, not me."

    "Overall it's a 20th win in 20 fights, I'm still undefeated and undisputed. I can't complain.

"This is professional boxing, it's what it's about, I'm just happy to come out with a win. My 15th defence of a world title.

"It's been a great year and this prepares us for all the big fights next year. We're ready for a big 2022.

This was kind of competitive, but Taylor made it somehow easy.

It was almost like she didn't want to get involved.

I'm wondering, at 35, after all these years and those titles, how much more does she have left in the tank?

Katie Taylor always keeps a cool, calm head and then increases the tempo of the fight.

You either make mistakes or can't keep up with the pace.

The more you do, the more mistakes you make. The more mistakes you make, the more gaps there are for Taylor.

Firuza Sharipova gave a good account of herself but Katie Taylor certainly threw the better shots.

She remains on top of the world.

Ireland's Katie Taylor retains her world titles with a points victory over Firuza Sharipova.

She wins by unanimous decision with 98-92, 97-92, 96,93.

    Job well done.

Katie Taylor's won that. I'm not convinced Sharipova knows she's lost yet. Her corner does though. They're trying to smile but can't.

That final round was fantastic. Sharipova really went for it. Taylor could have run around but the fighter in her couldn't allow Sharipova to have it all her own way.

    Brilliant finish!

    "Step on it..."

Her corner asks for more and Katie Taylor tries to oblige.

She certainly fires more shots but Firuza hits back with a good right hand.

Both women are still standing at the final bell. Hats off to them.
