    Taylor v Sharipova

I gave that round to Taylor and the first to Sharipova, but you could switch those around.

Sharipova is really fast, that's giving Taylor problems. Katie's having to think an awful lot, she doesn't want to overcommit.

Firuza Sharipova gets through with a right hand. It causes little damage on Katie Taylor, but it's just a warning perhaps.

The crowd are behind their fighter, and she responds with a left hand jab that reaches its target.

The London fighter was defending his world title for the first time, but was rarely troubled by the previously undefeated Mama.

  16. Agyarko claims last-gasp knockoutpublished at 20:55 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2021

There's plenty of Irish interest tonight and Caoimhin Agyarko was clearly eager to impress in his ten-rounder against Noe Larios Jr earlier tonight.

Agyarko was up against another undefeated middleweight and Larios Jr absorbed some big shots from the Belfast man. The knockout blow finally came in the ninth round. A big right hand followed up by a powerful left hook was enough to finally break Larios Jr's resistance as the referee stepped in to stop the contest.

It was Agyarko's debut for Matchroom as he claimed the tenth win of his fledgling pro career.

Agyarko was visibly elated with the victory and who can blame him? He was stabbed at the age of 20 and an "inch away from death". But now he's got his first title of his career in the locker with the WBA international belt. Not bad, eh?

  20. 'I'll never take my eye off the ball again'published at 20:44 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2021

Conor Benn poses on the scalesImage source, Matchroom Boxing

It's been the year of upsets in boxing - especially for Matchroom fighters - but Conor Benn is not planning to be the next star to fall foul of a shock.

Chris Algieri is a big step up for Benn as a former world champion but the London fighter insists he won't take his eye off the ball with big fights ahead of him if he wins.

He said: "I never take my eye off the ball. I did that once and got dropped twice in the first round [against Cedrick Peynaud in 2017]. I managed to get up and drop him twice. I won't ever do it again.

"I had my holiday booked for Miami, thought it would be a lovely little pay day before Christmas, and wallop, on the deck.

"That's where that experience comes from. In this sport, it's about learning and evolving. I'm continuously evolving."
