  1. Round 8published at 23:02 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2022

    Jonas v Dicaire

Natasha Jonas has bloodied Marie-Eve Dicaire's nose - that will need some work between the rounds.

It really does not look nice at all. Crimson all over the top of her upper lip.

I don't know what I'm more impressed with, the shot selection of Jonas or the courage of Dicaire.

Jonas did what every good fighter should after possibly losing the round before, she came out strong and positive, and stamped her authority.

  3. Round 8published at 23:00 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2022

    Jonas v Dicaire

Sweat flies off the face of Marie-Eve Dicaire as Natasha Jonas lands a cracking punch at the start of round eight.

  4. Round 7published at 23:00 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2022

    Jonas v Dicaire

Some agricultural stuff from Marie-Eve Dicaire, whose appetite cannot be questioned, but Natasha Jonas is beginning to pick the Canadian off a bit.

She really landed flush on the face with a couple of big punches.

Three rounds to go to crown an undisputed light-middleweight champion.

  5. Round 7published at 22:58 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2022

    Jonas v Dicaire

Now, they're going at it. Swinging for the fences!

Again, Natasha Jonas lands the cleaner punches. Her work is definitely the more technical of the two.

    Jonas v Dicaire

Good reply from Natasha Jones. A shot to the nose gets through, as do several shots to the body.

But Dicaire, to her credit, keeps coming. Jonas is landing plenty but it doesn't seem to really be hurting the IBF champion.

  8. Round 6published at 22:54 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2022

    Jonas v Dicaire

Natasha Jonas' corner berating her for getting trapped on the ropes in that last round.

The sixth begins scrappily too with Dicaire manhandling her smaller opponent.

Another word from the referee to the Canadian about some of those tactics though.

  9. 'Purpose is to inspire' - Hatton on ring return at 44published at 22:53 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2022

Later tonight, British boxing legend and Manchester's own Ricky Hatton returns to the ring for an exhibition fight against Marco Antonio Barrera.

There will be no official victor or loser declared at the end of the eight-round contest - but Hatton believes just getting back into fighting shape makes him a winner.

Eight months ago, he was 15st 4lbs, drinking every weekend, indulging in too many takeaways and neglecting his health, admitting: "I was massively obese."

The Barrera exhibition opportunity turned things around.

"The whole purpose was to set myself a goal for this exhibition, to get in shape and inspire so many people," said Hatton, 44, ahead of the fight

"I haven't even set foot in the ring yet but the letters, comments of people who've struggled with weight, struggled with mental health have said: 'Wow, if you can do it, what you've been through and shift all that weight at 44 years of age?'

"That's what it's all about for me, just as much as throwing the punches."

  10. Round 5published at 22:53 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2022

    Jonas v Dicaire

Marie-Eve Dicaire tries to back Jonas up on the ropes but the Brit fights it off.

Now they're slugging it out in the centre of the canvas and the Canadian got the better of that lusty exchange.

    Arguably Dicaire's round.

    Jones v Dicaire

    Barry Jones
Former world champion on BBC Radio 5 live

I would go as far to say this is textbook boxing from Natasha Jonas.

It's not as showreel as some of her other performances when she's hurting people but it's probably one of her best displays of pure boxing.

  12. Round 5published at 22:51 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2022

    Jonas v Dicaire

One of these fighters is leaving tonight with three belts - and the other with none.

Unless it's a draw of course. But that looks unlikely thus far.

  13. Round 4published at 22:50 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2022

    Jonas v Dicaire

Bit of a word from the referee to Marie-Eve Dicaire about use of the forearm.

The Canadian is an aggressive attacker but it can look a bit clumsy at times.

Jonas again lands the cleaner blows, a nice jab to the nose, a right hook to the side of the face.

  15. Round 4published at 22:48 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2022

    Jonas v Dicaire

Natasha Jonas' corner instructing her to keep working the jab as that is what they feel is winning her the rounds so far.

A quick combination at the start of the fourth shows she was listening.

    Jonas v Dicaire

I thought Dicaire was trying to force the pace, and rightly so, but she was just walking on to punches.

She did the work for Jonas who was just waiting and waiting and firing that left hand every time Dicaire came forward.

Jonas visibly knocked Dicaire on her heels at one point.

  17. Round 3published at 22:46 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2022

    Jonas v Dicaire

The Canadian is busier in round three. But she walks on to a solid punch from Natasha Jonas in doing so.

  18. Round 3published at 22:45 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2022

    Jonas v Dicaire

Bit of a rabbit punch from Dicaire as the referee pulls the fighters apart.

They touch gloves, though - no hard feelings.

  19. Round 2published at 22:44 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2022

    Jonas v Dicaire

Scrappier round that with both fighters struggling to land telling blows.

But Jonas probably registered the best shot with a left hook that caught Dicaire partially on the chin.

  20. Round 2published at 22:43 Greenwich Mean Time 12 November 2022

    Jonas v Dicaire

Dicaire grabs Jonas in a headlock to start round two. This ain't WWE, Marie-Eve.
