Shannon O'Connell has shown some real resilience here, having take some big hits from Ebanie Bridges but her right eye is starting to puff up now after an aggressive seventh round by Bridges.

I'm not sure this will go on much longer but O'Connell is determined to keep going.

Another very clear round for Ebanie.

The fight has turned scrappy but the more eye-catching work has come from Ebanie. She is looking like a true champion.

I've got Bridges pulling away on sheer tenacity.

What she lacks in quality and work she makes up for with sheer will and commitment, she just doesn't stop throwing punches.

  11. The way back for Warringtonpublished at 22:22 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2022

Josh Warrington v Luis Alberto Lopez

To say 2021 was a disappointment for Warrington would be an understatement.

He vacated his IBF title in January last year before losing for the first time as a pro a month later when he was brutally stopped by Mauricio Lara.

A rematch with Lara soon followed but the bout ended in a draw following a head clash which left the Mexican unable to continue.

Despite bouncing back and beating Kiko Martinez in impressive fashion earlier this year to regain the IBF title, Warrington admits he has learned the hard way about misjudging an opponent.

"I will not let that happen again. It's the first time as a professional I've done that," said Warrington.

"I've never switched off, but subconsciously I did. Being in the bubble, with no fans, my attitude towards him [was wrong] and I paid the price for it."

    Ebanie Bridges v Shannon O'Connell

Midway through this 10-round title clash, and it's a close bout with Bridges narrowly edging it in my view.

She is working very hard with a flurry of punches, O'Connell can't get the fight to her pace.

"I'm winning, right?", Bridges asked her corner at the end of round four.

  13. Warrington looking to secure US boutpublished at 22:17 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2022

Josh Warrington v Luis Alberto Lopez

Warrington is not underestimating Lopez as he seeks one final special fight in his home city.

"This will be a tough test. These fights are banana-skin fights because people expect you to win," he said.

12 of Warrington's last 15 fights have been in Leeds, and he is looking for the chance to crack America with a win here.

"I have so many people who I know who have got their passports waiting," Warrington said. "They would like to see me fight in America.

"I would be devastated if I didn't get that opportunity. That's what's motivating me."

A mixture of Christmas parties, England being in the World Cup quarter-finals and tonight’s boxing means Leeds city centre has been heaving all day today.

The atmosphere has been good, particularly among the fight fans who had made their way to the arena early for the start of today’s card, which began shortly after 14:00 GMT.

Warrington is always guaranteed a big crowd and atmosphere in his home city and that is no different today, with some 8,000 fans here hoping to see their hero win.

Bridges has come back into this bout, and puts O'Connell on the canvas midway through round three.

It was an exchange of rights, and Bridges caught her foe on the chin with a fine shot.

I don't think there was much quality from either one. O'Connell's work was much neater. I thought that was a decent round for the challenger.

Two rounds into the all-Aussie women's IBF bantamweight title, where there are no doubts who this crowd is behind.

Leeds United fan Ebanie Bridges got a huge cheer from the fans, Shannon O'Connell's name greeted by boos.

O'Connell certainly looks to have blocked it all out, and hurt Bridges' with a huge cross right towards the end of round one.

Bridges has fought back, this is a lively contest.
