  3. 'There will be knockdowns'published at 22:23 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January 2023

    Beterbiev v Yarde

    Hannah Rankin
    Former light-middleweight champion

I'm going to go Beterbiev on points. There will be some knockdowns, I think there could be a knockdown on both sides.

At first I was very much like Beterbiev [by] knockout [in] later rounds, but Yarde has got such a solid chin, I don't think he'll be wanting in fitness levels for this one. It could go the distance, but Yarde gets outworked.

Well the jaunty opening chords of Sweet Caroline have just started up in the arena so that can mean only one thing - it is almost time for main event.

  6. Postpublished at 22:16 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January 2023

A bit of scuffling, a bit of fighting talk before the two face off in the ring.

Not sure the crowd are quite getting into this with a fair few boos, predominately aimed at Youtuber Jake Paul.

  7. Postpublished at 22:12 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January 2023

First up, though, we're getting a face off between Jake Paul and Tommy Fury in the ring.

As mentioned earlier, the two are fighting in Saudi Arabia on 26 February.

    BT Sport

Moses Itauma, speaking to BT Sport: "I was a bit emotional going into the ring because obviously my brother had just lost, but it was one to remember.

"I was surprised really. I never really hit someone in the first 14 seconds and they have gone down.

"I'm just looking for miniature step ups and see what happens after that."

That explosive win for Moses Itauma rounds off a cracking undercard at Wembley Arena tonight.

Just to wrap up other notable fights before we focus on the main event, Artem Dalakian retained his WBA Flyweight title by fending off challenger David Jimenez.

Jimenez showed plenty of aggression throughout the 12 rounds but Dalakian landed the cleaner punches and took victory on points to retain his belt.

He extends his unbeaten record to 22-0.

The 18-year-old has been hailed as the future of heavyweight boxing by Frank Warren and that shows why.

    Stunning stuff.

Fury has also given some words of advice to Anthony Yarde, saying he needs to get at Artur Beterbiev fast and early.

"There's a couple of ways he can approach this fight and one of them is come flat out of the gates, swinging big hooks and that will surprise him," he said on BT Sport.

"Go for him, get him knocked out. Are you going to win a points decision against a man who can go flat out 12 rounds? I don't think so.

  18. Itauma flattenedpublished at 21:38 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January 2023

    Coral Barry
BBC Sport at OVO Arena, Wembley

Karol Itauma saw his dream night turn into a nightmare, suffering his first career defeat.

It was the first time Itauma was fighting on the same card as his younger brother, Moses, who makes his pro debut later.

Itauma was far too casual from the first bell, repeatedly walking onto Ezequiel Osvaldo Maderna's right hand.

Eventually he was made to pay. An odd performance from a young man who still has a big future ahead of him.

  19. Big upset alreadypublished at 21:36 Greenwich Mean Time 28 January 2023

Wembley Arena saw a big shock a little earlier as Karol Itauma was stunned by Ezequiel Osvaldo Maderna.

Itauma, who turned pro in 2020, had gone into the fight hoping to land his first title, the WBC International light-heavyweight belt, but was knocked out in the fifth round.

    More shocks to come?
