No two ways about it, Artur Beterbiev is a formidable opponent for anyone.

Eighteen fights, 18 wins by KO. He has only been taken to the 12th round once in his professional career while last year he needed just two rounds to see off rival champion Joe Smith Jr.

There is a lot of pressure on the 38-year-old to not be on the end of an upset, but asked if that was affecting him he responded: "No, I'm good."

Of Yarde, he added: "As a boxer he is a good challenge for me. He has good professional career, he's had good fights. I've prepared for him like everyone else."

Anthony Yarde is having his first outing at world level since 2019, when he travelled to Russia to face Sergey Kovalev for his WBO light-heavyweight world title.

Yarde almost pulled off an incredible result as he had Kovalev rocking in the eighth round but the Russian recovered to knock out his opponent in the 11th.

Yarde's rebuild was halted by the coronavirus pandemic, so it has been a long wait to get to this moment. Despite the odds, he will be determined to not let this career-defining opportunity pass him by.
