    Usyk v Dubois

Dubois' trainer Don Charles can be heard screaming "move to your left Dan" but Usyk's movement is making it tough for the Brit to have any success.

There's more aggression from Dubois but could that just open up a window for Usyk?

Neither fighter is wearing any damage on the face just yet.

    Usyk v Dubois

    Usyk is leading the dance.

He's starting to move through the gears and is always staying on the outside, making it difficult for Dubois to find him.

The rain is pouring in the arena but, so far, it seems to be dry in the ring, which is under a huge shelter.

    Usyk v Dubois

Richie Woodhall to TNT Sports: "You can see that Dubois is struggling with the pace and intensity. He's struggling with the in and out style of Usyk."

Richie Woodhall said on TNT Sports: "Measure with the jab and then wait for the opportunity if Usyk comes forward over that front foot. You've got to meet him."

    Usyk v Dubois

A good start from Dubois as he launches his first combination, a shot to the body and then a hook, which Usyk claims hit him on the backside.

Usyk responds as you'd expect a champion to and looks to rock Dubois on to his heels briefly.

    Usyk v Dubois

Usyk happy to stay behind the jab in round one.

Dubois was light enough on his feet but didn't cause the champion too many problems.

A typical feel it out kind of opener.

Darren Fletcher said on TNT Sports: Can Dubois do what no other man has done in Usyk's professional career and, tonight, shock the world?

    And we're under way.

Chants of Usyk immediately ring around the arena. The Ukrainian winked at the camera just before the fight started - I don't think he's lacking confidence.

When Usyk isn't in his training camp, he's back doing his volunteer work with the armed forces. That can take it out a man. I've been looking all week, I've been looking for grey hair and I've not seen it!

    National anthem time.

No one singing the British National anthem - it's just the music and almost a silent arena apart from promoter Frank Warren giving it ago.

Huge contrast as the Ukrainian National anthem is belted out by almost everyone in the attendance.

    Goosebumps-type stuff.

Anon: Usyk is probably better in all departments compared to Dubois it's fair to say. In this game you can never rule anyone out, every fighter has a knockout punch in them and need just 1 slight chance to unleash it. This is why I love boxing. If Dubois is to stand any chance then it has to be by KO in first half of the fight.

    And now for the champion.

I have to admit I'm not up to date on my Ukrainian artists so I can't confirm who is singing Oleksandr Usyk to the ring.

    Catchy song though!

The bloke has a lovely knee length jacket and long grey hair as he stands just at the top of the ramp. Usyk gives him a fist bump as he walks past with a very serious look on his face.

Anon: Good luck to Dubois, Usyk however is far to slick and classy. Dubois will be lucky to land a decent punch on Usyk however long the fight goes.

  19. Can Dubois spoil the Ukrainian party?published at 22:23 British Summer Time 26 August 2023

    Kal Sajad
BBC Sport at Tarczynski Arena, Wroclaw

From Buster Douglas’ beatdown on the seemingly invincible Mike Tyson to Hasim Rahman’s win over the ill-prepared Lennox Lewis, there have been some monumental upsets in heavyweight history.

While boxing aficionados may argue a Dubois win would be no match to Douglas and Rahman’s feats, it would still be a Herculean effort from the Londoner if he manages to pull this off.

A celebration of all things Ukraine soon became a majestic night for the United Kingdom.
