The stands are not quite full, but there is a buzzing atmosphere already in Sheffield through the undercard.

With the exception of Cecilia Braekhus, the main undercard is made entirely of British fighters, which has helped engage and excite the crowd.

Braekhus is a GOAT in the women's boxing game. It's Terri Harper's time, but I hope we get a performance out of her.

Former undisputed welterweight champion Cecilia Braekhus thanked Terri Harper Harper for agreeing to reschedule the fight and described pulling out of the first encounter as "heartbreaking".

Aged 42, Braekhus is unlikely to get another shot at gold and tonight could see her glittering career come to an end if she suffers a defeat.

Of Braekhus' 39 career fights, 28 have involved at least one world title, and she has only lost twice along the way.

"We've been locked into each other in two camps and there is a whole different energy right now," she said.

"Both our self-esteem is sky high. I think it's going to be twice as good."

Before the Harper v Braekhus fight, fans in the crowd were picked out by the camera and asked to show their muscles for "Flex Cam" on the big screen.

There wasn't much on show to match anything we'll see in the ring, to be honest.

Our first world title fight tonight comes in the co-main event when Doncaster's Terri Harper defends her WBA light-middleweight title and challenges for the vacant WBO strap against Norwegian Cecilia Braekhus.

The pair were set to meet on the Chantelle Cameron-Katie Taylor undercard in Dublin on 20 May, however, Braekhus withdrew on the day of the fight due to illness.

Harper was moved on to the Leigh Wood-Mauricio Lara card the following week and defended her WBA title with a unanimous decision win against Croatia's Ivana Habazin.

The Brit, who previously held the WBC super-featherweight title, moved up two weight classes to beat Hannah Rankin and claim light-middleweight strap September 2022.

Harper said: "I'm ready to be let out the cage now and get the job done in a good style.

"I'm at the stage where I want the big fights. I want the money,"

There will be a clear divide down the middle of Utilita Arena in Sheffield tonight.

The venue was picked for its neutrality and is pretty much as close as you can get to bang in the middle of Nottingham and Leeds. *See above*

WBA featherweight champion Leigh Wood was desperate to get this fight staged at the City Ground - the home of his beloved Nottingham Forest.

Josh Warrington has enjoyed the privilege of fighting at Leeds United's Elland Road - most notably when he defended his IBF featherweight belt against Lee Selby in 2018 - but as the challenger he wasn't going to be afforded that luxury tonight.

There's no getting away from the fact that both football clubs will be represented.

They'll be a nod to their respective clubs when the walkout music kicks in tonight too.

Wood has adopted Nottingham Forest favourite 'Mull Of Kintyre' to accompany him to the ring, while Warrington has been known to go for a mix of Leeds' 'Marching On Together' and 'I Predict A Riot' from Leeds-based Kaiser Chiefs.

The pair even had club colours on during their face-off on Friday - wearing the scarfs of their respective teams.

Welcome to Sheffield, where the weather has felt distinctly more July than October today. 21 degrees, a Yorkshire luxury.

Josh Warrington will be feeling the heat in the ring when he faces Leigh Wood tonight, knowing that defeat would all but end his glittering career in elite boxing.

Warrington faces a tough ask against a powerful opponent and comes into this as the underdog - but it would be risky to count the Leeds fighter out just yet.
