  1. Round twelvepublished at 23:02 British Summer Time 21 October 2023

    Catterall v Linares

Linares' unbeaten run against British fighters seems to be coming to an end.

It's kitchen sink time... but Linares doesn't seem to know it.

Another round without a great deal of action but, for me, Catterall uses the range well enough to take it.

It's down to the judges, but surely this has to go in the favour of Catterall.

That was an ultimate nip and tuck round. I'm going to say it, I think Linares nicked that round.

He could have nicked the round before and there's four, five, six rounds where he could have nicked them.

  3. Round eightpublished at 22:59 British Summer Time 21 October 2023

    Lawal v Chamberlain

Lawal just misses with a huge right hand! It might have just caught Chamberlain, but it's only a glance. If that hand landed clean...

After a narrow escape, Chamberlain squares up with Lawal. He lands an uppercut up close and ends the round off the back of a lovely right hand over the top of Lawal's guard.

  4. Round elevenpublished at 22:58 British Summer Time 21 October 2023

    Catterall v Linares

Catterall, with Jamie Moore's words ringing in his ears, comes out and throws a good combination.

But then it's on to the back foot again.

Catterall has 13 knockouts from his 28 fights but his last one came back in April 2019.

He doesn't need one here as we head into the final round, he just needs to stay out of trouble.

Linares walks back to his corner and slams his gloves together - maybe he should try doing that towards the head of Catterall?

I'm pleading with Jack, just let your hands go. When he does there's a reaction from head and body when he lands.

  6. Round sevenpublished at 22:56 British Summer Time 21 October 2023

    Lawal v Chamberlain

Into the second-half of the fight and Chamberlain's jab still looks brilliant.

He has used it to keep Lawal off him and score his own points. Lawal grapples with Chamberlain in an attempt to bring him into range.

But Chamberlain is happy in the clinch and targets Lawal's body. Chris Billam-Smith sums up Lawal's performance so far perfectly: "He's looking for the perfect shot every time."

Lawal certainly needs a knockdown, if he can't muster a knockout, to have any hope of swinging this fight back in his favour.

  7. Round tenpublished at 22:54 British Summer Time 21 October 2023

    Catterall v Linares

Linares still not showing the urgency he really needs to at this stage.

Catterall can afford to keep the range, circle away and pick his shots - Linares can't allow that to happen in the last two rounds.

Jamie Moore - Catterall's trainer - says he dropped that round. There wasn't much in it but I think he probably edged it as he has with most.

  8. Round sixpublished at 22:52 British Summer Time 21 October 2023

    Lawal v Chamberlain

Chamberlain stuns Lawal to the head and the champion appears to stagger for a moment. He recovers, but Chamberlain is clearly increasing in confidence.

A jab and right cross from Lawal glances Chamberlain as he steps away.

The round ends with Lawal fighting off the ropes and trying to fire off a few uppercuts. But Chamberlain tags him with hooks.

    Catterall v Linares

What we've got here is a much closer fight than I expected.

After the first four, five rounds I thought Catterall would be in control, especially after he hurt Linares, but Linares is still in this fight.

  10. Round ninepublished at 22:50 British Summer Time 21 October 2023

    Catterall v Linares

Catterall is just coasting through this. He hasn't had to get out of third gear for the most part.

He's nine minutes away from potentially being in a position to get another world title shot.

Linares just hasn't offered enough and he's got three rounds to try and get a finish.

  11. Round fivepublished at 22:48 British Summer Time 21 October 2023

    Lawal v Chamberlain

Lawal is perhaps stepping it up. He tries two looping lefts in quick succession that don't quite land.

Chamberlain responds immediately with a hard body shot and hook to the head. Lawal had his moments in this round, but Chamberlain was able to fight back each time and probably took that round.

That pressure works every single time. If Catterall lets his hands go, five, six shots, and pins Linares, he can't do a single thing.

We heard those pantomime boos there but they're still boos. That means some people didn't come here tonight for a boxing contest, they came for a knockout.

  13. Round eightpublished at 22:47 British Summer Time 21 October 2023

    Catterall v Linares

    A great round for Catterall.

It's steady stuff again for two minutes and 40 seconds - jab and move, wait for the right moment to counter.

Then all of a sudden he steps forward with a one-two, and another and a third time. That's how you punctuate a round.

Lawal has got to do something, because this fight is slowly getting away from him.

That's a smart move there [beckoning Catterall] from Linares with 10 seconds left. What that does sometimes is it freezes a fighter so it bought him eight or nine seconds to recover.

I thought Catterall boxed really well and put Linares under decent pressure at the end there.

  16. Round fourpublished at 22:44 British Summer Time 21 October 2023

    Lawal v Chamberlain

A chopping right hand from Lawal glances Chamberlain early on in this round, but it doesn't hurt him.

Chamberlain is showing no signs of tiredness yet.

Lawal's corner tell him, 'keep working, basic feints, basic levels'. They want him to let go when he's on the inside but there's no sign of that so far tonight.

Chamberlain cruising as much the busier fighter.

  17. Round sevenpublished at 22:41 British Summer Time 21 October 2023

    Catterall v Linares

Catterall lands four stabs to the body of Linares, full of intent, to get the round going.

And another two. He's zap the gas out of the veteran - remember Linares is 38.

Catterall backs off and settles back into the rhythm we've seen for large periods of this fight.

Foot to the peddle for the last few seconds as Catterall steps forward.

That was a very good round for Linares. A clear Linares round.

Whether Catterall over-extended a bit too much at the end of that last round and took a round off I don't know, but it was great work from Linares.

Catterall's got to put it on Linares this round.

    Lawal v Chamberlain

Finally Lawal decides to step forward. He has Chamberlain on the ropes and tries to unload, but Chamberlain is too fast for him and pushes him back without much issue.

Chamberlain could be three rounds up at this stage. A brillaint, calm start from him.

  20. Round sixpublished at 22:37 British Summer Time 21 October 2023

    Catterall v Linares

It's a good response from Linares. He seems to have recovered quickly enough.

He's positive and aggressive but then becomes reckless and falls straight into Catterall's traps - eating a heavy left.

Linares needs to finely balance finding a way back into this fight and still remaining cautious enough to avoid Catterall's counter-punching.

    That's the mid-way point.
