I'm shaking my head because Aidan McCarthy has got to hit the deck with that chance. He missed a similar one in the Munster final. You're not going to beat Eoin Murphy, who is an unbelievable goalie, by putting the shot at a perfect height for him to save. He shouldn't have been given a chance to save it.

Clare need the leaders like Shane O'Donnell to step up and it is great to see him express himself. They have certainly had some positive signs since half-time; when they get their talisman on the ball, he can make things happen.

Clare have been absolutely outworked in the middle third and Kilkenny seem to be going from strength to strength. They are winning rucks, they are winning 50/50 balls and on the puck outs every time the ball breaks loose it is Kilkenny who come out with it.

    Kilkenny 1-10 Clare 0-8

We are back on at Croke Park where Kilkenny look in a good place to make a return. to the final unless Clare can find a way to get into this.

    HT: Kilkenny 1-10 Clare 0-8

    Paul Murphy

It is hard for Clare to penetrate the defence because they are playing so flat, whereas as soon as Kilkenny turn the ball over the half-backs and midfielders are making runs off the shoulder and there is plenty of open space in front of them.

They have been wasteful in front of goal with a few wides and Quilligan's saves. Derek Lyng will be saying 'we are creating the opportunities, we need to convert them'.

If it wasn't for Eibhear Quilligan, Kilkenny would probably be 10, 11, 12 points up. He has pulled off four unbelievable saves. Kilkenny will be disappointed that they're not further ahead.
