There was no celebrating in front of the fans after that kick.

James Lowe grimaced and slapped his hands together in exasperation as soon as the ball left that big left boot of his.

Ireland steal the ball and it's spread wide to James Lowe, who looks to use his trademark left boot to thump it clear.

He can only slice it, and Argentina have the throw just outside the 22.

He doesn't score many but there is no better feeling than scoring for your country and big Joe McCarthty will enjoy that one.

There was no stopping him from such close range!

Big impact from the returning captain, who is now sporting an old-school headband.

We've still seven minutes to go until half time.

This has been a lot of fun so far.

Almost exactly two years to the day since he made his Ireland debut against Australia, Joe McCarthy has his second international try.

    Breathing space again for Ireland.

Andy Farrell won't be thrilled by the penalties they've conceded, but the scoreboard's looking healthy enough.

In fact, it only made it about 12 metres away from the line, so Ireland are still in a decent spot here.

Finlay Bealham is back, and so is Josh van der Flier as Thomas Clarkson makes way.

He's likely to be back later on.

That's a daft penalty to give away as Rodrigo Isgro lands on top of Jamison Gibson-Park before the scrum-half had his hands on the ball.

Ireland's weren't going anywhere, but now Crowley pops it in the corner.

Albornoz is such a great kicker so Ireland need to eliminate silly penalties or else they are going to be punished from the tee like last week.

It's been fast, frantic and, while very entertaining, still far from perfect from both sides.

The story of this opening 25 minutes, though, has been Jack Crowley.

He copped probably more than his fair share of criticism for what was a bad performance across the board last week but he's responded in some style.

He's playing flatter to the line, linking well with his midfield, and showed some confidence with that drop-goal too.

  19. Penalty - Ireland 15-9 Agrentinapublished at 20:44 Greenwich Mean Time 15 November

    Three from three for Albornoz!

The gap is back to six points!

Even if it is only a temporary arrival for now, that is a wonderful moment for Thomas Clarkson. He is a big lad and has played really well lately for Leinster to earn this moment.
