  1. Clann Eireann hold nerve to reach semi-finalspublished at 17:02 Greenwich Mean Time 10 November

FT: Newbridge 0-12 Clann Eireann 0-14

After looking decidedly second best in the first half, Newbridge looked like they were going to earn victory for much of the second period but in the end Clann Eireann edged a two-point victory after injury-time scores from Ryan Owens and Jack Conlon.

Newbridge may feel that they luck didn't go their way with referee Paul Faloon awarding a free and not a penalty after a foul on Mark Doherty just after half-time.

Granted, Oisin Doherty pointed the 20-metre free to bring the sides level and Newbridge subsequently led by one on two occasions but Clann Eireann held their nerve in the closing stages to edge victory even though All-Stars Conor Turbitt and Barry McCambridge were well held by their respective markers.

Clann Eireann's win sets up a semi-finals meeting with Errigal Ciaran who outclassed Cargin 0-17 to 0-9 in this afternoon's earlier contest at Celtic Park.
