Ulster Club SFC quarter-finals
Kilcoo manager Karl Lacey praised his team's attitude after defeating Crosserlough 0-15 to 1-10 in the Ulster Club SFC quarter-final at Pairc Esler.
The 2022 All-Ireland champions were pushed all the way by the Cavan underdogs but edged through at the end to seal a spot in the last four.
"Crosserlough are good team with good footballers - we knew we were up against it," said Lacey.
Ulster Club SFC quarter-finals
Pre-match favourites Kilcoo were pushed all the way by Crosserlough but they did just enough to claim a 0-15 to 1-10 win in the Ulster Club SFC quarter-final.
Crosserlough were left to rue picking up three black cards as well as a late red card in Newry.
Donegal All-Ireland winner Rory Kavanagh has been named the new Glen boss.
He replaces Malachy O'Rourke who took over as Tyrone manager in September.
O'Rourke led the club to three county titles, two Ulster Club triumphs and an All-Ireland success last January after being appointed in late 2020.
Kavanagh lifted the Sam Maguire in 2012 and also won three Ulster titles with his county in his playing days.
He took over as manager of his former club St Eunan's in November 2020, leading them to their first Donegal SFC title in seven years in his first season as manager.
Kavanagh left the club at the end of the 2023 championship.
Glen were stunned 1-12 to 2-8 by Newbridge in the Derry Senior Football final last month.
The shock defeat brought to an end their three-year stranglehold on the competition as well as their bid to retain their Derry, Ulster and All-Ireland titles.
Ulster Cub SFC quarter-final - Erne Gaels v Scotstown
Ulster Club Football quarter-final between Erne Gaels and Scotstown has been postponed following the death of former Gaels player Mark Lyons, brother of the Fermanagh club's captain Ryan Lyons.
The match will now take place at Brewster Park on Saturday, 16 November at 17:00 GMT.
Ulster Club SFC quarter-final, 13:00 GMT
It's a return to Ulster competition for Antrim champions, Cargin this afternoon as they seek to make up for last year's disappointment at the quarter-final stage to Glen.
Tomás McCann was red-carded in Celtic Park that day but it was since overturned, meaning he is free to start in attack for the Toome outfit.
However, four weeks from their county final triumph over Portglenone in extra-time, manager Ronan Devlin has rung the changes with Jamie Gribbin, David Johnston and Eunan Quinn in for Benen Kelly, Conan Johnston and Tom Shivers.
Another switch will see John Carron start at midfield in place of Gerard McCann who hobbled out of the county final in the first half, but he is fit for a place on the bench.
As for Errigal Ciaran, manager Enda McGinley makes two changes from the team that started last week's preliminary round victory over St Eunan's with Pauric Traynor in for Padraig McGirr at wing-forward, while in a late switch, Thomas Canavan replaces Ciaran Quinn and this could prompt some positional switches when they line out.
Ben McDonnell was the hero for the Tyrone champions last week with three late scores that saw his team snatch a thrilling win and he is partnered at centrefield by Joe Oguz.
In attack, there is plenty of talent with the Canavans, Darragh and Ruairi, a focal point, while Peter Harte brings plenty of experience.
Cargin: J McNabb; K O'Boyle, K McShane, R Gribbin; J Crozier, S O'Neill, J Gribbin; M McCann, J Carron; D Johnston, T McCann, J Laverty; Conhuir Johnston, E Quinn, P Shivers.
Errigal Ciaran: D McAnenly; Cormac Quinn, A McCrory, T Canavan; P Og McCartan, N Kelly, T Colhoun; B McDonnell, J Oguz; P Traynor, P Harte, C McGinley; R Canavan, D Canavan, O Robinson.
Ulster Club SFC quarter-finals
After Kilcoo had to work hard to hold off Crosserlough last night, two more Ulster Club Football semi-finals places are up for grabs this afternoon as Cargin face Errigal Ciaran at Corrigan Park (13:00 GMT) before Newbridge take on Clann Eireann at Celtic Park (15:30).
Given the presence of the Canavan brothers, the Ballygawley side are probably marginal favourites in west Belfast but the Toomebridge men are doughty battlers and will fancy their chances of taking victory.
Don't forget, Cargin gave double champions Glen tough battlers over the last two seasons in Ulster with only four points between the sides 12 months ago in the quarter-finals despite Tomas McCann's exceedingly harsh first-half red card.
Newbridge's contest with Clann Eireann gives a freshness to the Ulster series with the south Derry men involved in their first provincial championship since 1989 after surprising All-Ireland kingpins Glen in their county final two weeks ago.
Clann Eireann will be hoping to continue to ride on the wave of Armagh's Sam Maguire triumph with Conor Turbitt, Barry McCambridge and Tiernan Kelly among five members of Kieran McGeeney's squad involved today.
It should all make for some fascinating action so we look forward to having your company today.
