  1. Todd to double up?published at 18:49 British Summer Time 8 June

Davey Todd arrived at the Isle of Man TT this year with no wins and only one podium from a third place finish in the 2022 Superstock TT.

How things have changed for the Yorkshireman as he has blazed a trail at the 2024 TT with a couple of runner-up spots for starters, followed by a Superstock race win, then a third in today's earlier Supersport outing.

A victory in this race would be the icing very much on the cake for the Saltburn pilot - a Senior TT success on the Milwaukee BMW would be an exceedingly impressive addition to his burgeoning CV.

    Lap 3/4

It's all looking good for Davey Todd, who is increasing his lead.

He's almost with Dean Harrison on the road now as they get into Ramsey for the penultimate time.

Brookes is now 32 seconds off Todd, but the Aussie has pulled three seconds on Harrison. That gap is now 12.2 seconds.

James Hillier is still fourth and, running further down the road, Mike Browne should be fifth once he reaches the hairpin.

    Lap 3/4

Josh Brookes has worked his way past John McGuinness on the road, which may help explain why he lost a bit of time to Todd.

Todd has now pulled 41 seconds on Harrison at Ballaugh, and now all eyes are on Brookes....he's now 31 seconds off Todd.

The gap between second and third remains around nine seconds.

    Lap 3/4

This has been so attritional, with both Michael Dunlop and Peter Hickman failing to finish laps one and two respectively.

There will be a nervous wit for Davey Todd and Josh Brookes, who would both be first-time winners of the Senior TT.

Dean Harrison has been here before and would dearly love to do it again!

The top three have all navigated the pit stops safely.

  9. Crash for Hickmanpublished at 18:34 British Summer Time 8 June

    Lap 2/4

The Isle of Man TT feed says Peter Hickman came off his bike at Ginger Hall but is up and okay.

He was pushing like crazy and was on for a lap record before his off.

Davey Todd now has a big lead, but two laps is a long time around the Mountain Course.

  11. Pitstops crucialpublished at 18:31 British Summer Time 8 June

    Richard Petrie
BBC Sport at the Isle of Man TT

With relatively little between the top contenders on the timesheets the pitstops at the end of lap two will be hugely significant.

Crucial time can be picked up or lost as the teams fuel up the bikes, change helmets or a visor and invariably change a back tyre.

Composure is the key word for those tasked with those roles and it is very much a distinctive part of the TT where races can be won and lost.

Petrol pumps are poised and jacks are at the ready...the focus is about to switch to pitlane in front of a packed grandstand.

    Every second counts....

Hickman has just recorded the fastest-ever time from the Grandstand to Glen Helen. Outrageous.

He's going so well he's having to deal with a bit of traffic ahead. Can he pick his way through and stop Todd eating into his lead?

Brookes is still third, but now 17.2 seconds off, and is holding off Dean Harrison.

John McGuinness and Mike Browne, who got his first 130mph lap, are next!

Josh Brookes has jumped up to third! He's 13.3 seconds back but leads Dean Harrison by 3.1 seconds.

James Hillier and John McGuinness complete the top six.

  18. DUNLOP OUTpublished at 18:17 British Summer Time 8 June

He's recorded the fastest-ever sector from Ballaugh Bridge to Ramsey. That is rapid for the first lap!
