  1. 'It's been a struggle overall'published at 16:55 British Summer Time 22 June

    HT: Galway 0-6 Monaghan 0-5

Donegal All-Ireland winner Michael Murphy on GAAGo: "Galway found their way back into it, they didn't score their first from play until 16 minutes, didn't score their next until 33 minutes. Big, big chunks of play.

"For a team that we're thinking about going down the stretch, speaking around All-Irelands, to not be scoring points from play.

"It's been a struggle overall, littered with loads of mistakes, but Galway found a way to get themselves back on top."

  2. Team news - Kilpatrick not startingpublished at 16:53 British Summer Time 22 June

Tyrone v Roscommon, Healy Park, 17:00 BST

You would have thought that having got a late reprieve, Conn Kilpatrick would be catapulted straight back into the Tyrone starting team.

    Not so.

After successfully appealing a two-match ban to the GAA's Central Appeals Committee on Friday night, Kilpatrick will now start on the bench wearing number 19. That is a strange call.

There are two late changes, though.

Peter Harte was named in the starting XV and expected to get his first Championship start of the year after some injuries setbacks, but is being replaced by Nathan McCarron.

Cathal McShane is the other late change for Kieran McGeary, who sustained an injury during the warm-up before last week's win over Cork in Tullamore.

Brian Dooher and Feargal Logan have included three of Tyrone’s Under-20 All-Ireland winners on the bench. Shea O’Hare has featured in the wins over both Clare and Cork in recent weeks and he's now joined by Under-20 captain Michael Rafferty and star forward Eoin McElholm.

    Tyrone: N Morgan; M McKernan, P Hampsey, N Devlin; B Cullen, N Carron, M O'Neill; B Kennedy, M Donnelly; C Daly, R Canavan, C McShane; D McCurry, D Canavan, S O'Donnell

    Subs: O O'Kane, F Burns, C Devlin, C Kilpatrick, N McCarron, E McElholm, L McGarrity, S O'Hare, T Quinn, M Rafferty

  3. Meehan: 'Walsh injury a big blow for Galway'published at 16:52 British Summer Time 22 June

Former Galway player Michael Meehan speaking on GAAGO

'By and large Monaghan have brought the energy in the first half. They're getting two or three lads around the ball and forcing turnovers and sloppy play.

'It just drifted back a little bit in Galway's favour, but the big talking point is that Shane Walsh is off the field and Damien Comer isn't on the field either.

'That's a big blow for Galway to absorb and it's a huge shot in the arm for Monaghan.'

  5. Are Tyrone Roscommon's 'bogey' team?published at 16:47 British Summer Time 22 June

Tyrone v Roscommon, Healy Park, 17:00 BST

No-one could have blamed Roscommon if they had wanted to avoid Tyrone in the draw for this weekend's All-Ireland SFC preliminary quarter-finals, because they have found the Red Hands to be a serious annoyance come summer time.

Their league meetings can go either way, with the Rossies winning the 2023 league meeting by 3-11 to 1-12 in Dr Hyde Park, and Tyrone on top in 2024 edging it 0-17 to 0-11 in Omagh.

However Tyrone have bossed the Championship encounters and their last five meetings have been one-way traffic.

Can they make it six-in-a-row or can Roscommon stop the rot?

    Last five Championship meetings:-

    2011: Tyrone 3-19 Roscommon 1-14; Croke Park

2012: Roscommon 0-8 Tyrone 1-16; Dr Hyde Park

2013: Roscommon 1-7 Tyrone 0-12; Dr Hyde Park

    2018: Tyrone 4-24 Roscommon 2-12; Croke Park

2019: Roscommon 0-13 Tyrone 0-17; Dr Hyde Park

  6. Monaghan content with their work despite the score-linepublished at 16:42 British Summer Time 22 June

    HT: Galway 0-6 Monaghan 0-5

It's safe to say that this game hasn't been a classic but Monaghan won't give a hoot about that.

Many people expected Galway to stroll their way into the last eight, but they have been dragged into a dogfight in a wet and windy Salthill.

Monaghan may trail by one, but Vinny Corey will be the happier of the two managers at the break.

The Farney men will have the wind at their backs in the second half... Can they pull off a shock win?

  7. Galway take slender lead into the breakpublished at 16:39 British Summer Time 22 June

    HT: Galway 0-6 Monaghan 0-5

The half-time whistle comes just as Galway were starting to build momentum.

Conor McCarthy misses from close range for Monaghan, and the hosts punish them at the other end with Paul Conroy scoring his second - and Galway's third in a row.

  8. Postpublished at 16:35 British Summer Time 22 June

    Galway 0-5 Monaghan 0-5

Three scores in quick succession may indicate that this game is finally starting to open up.

Michael Bannigan adds to Monaghan's tally, but Rob Finnerty lands an immediate reply for the hosts before Matthew Tierney converts from a free.

  9. Postpublished at 16:31 British Summer Time 22 June

    Galway 0-3 Monaghan 0-4

Galway badly needed a score, and they got one through a Matthew Tierney free. With just under five minutes to go until half-time, can Monaghan hold their lead until the break?

  10. Shane Walsh subbed off for Galwaypublished at 16:27 British Summer Time 22 June

    Galway 0-2 Monaghan 0-4

There is a long, long way to go but this could be turning into a disastrous afternoon for Galway, as their marquee forward Shane Walsh is unable to continue with a hamstring injury.

He's replaced by Liam O Conghaile.

  11. Postpublished at 16:26 British Summer Time 22 June

    Galway 0-2 Monaghan 0-4

Monaghan have opened up a two-point lead with a score from Stephen O'Hanlon.

  12. Postpublished at 16:22 British Summer Time 22 June

    Galway 0-2 Monaghan 0-3

A Gary Mohan point from distance has Monaghan ahead once again.

With over 22 minutes on the clock, heavy favourites Galway have yet to get started.

  13. Monaghan happy with cagey startpublished at 16:18 British Summer Time 22 June

    Galway 0-2 Monaghan 0-2

Galway's Paul Conroy uses the breeze to his advantage with an excellent score from 45 metres out, but Monaghan's Michael Bannigan replies from a free.

'We weren't expecting a classic, and we're not getting one,' laments GAAGO commentator David McIntyre, but you get the sense that underdogs Monaghan will be more than happy with the scrappy nature of this game so far.

  15. Galway scoreless through 10 minutespublished at 16:10 British Summer Time 22 June

    Galway 0-0 Monaghan 0-1

It has been a slow start for Galway, and they are still yet to score with Shane Walsh dropping a free short the closest they have come.

There hasn't been much quality on show from either side as of yet.

  16. Postpublished at 16:05 British Summer Time 22 June

    Galway 0-0 Monaghan 0-1

It's taken five minutes for the first score, and it's Monaghan who have it with Jack McCarron converting into the wind.

  17. The action gets underwaypublished at 16:00 British Summer Time 22 June

    Galway 0-0 Monaghan 0-0

The ball is thrown-in and the action is underway at a wet and windy Pearse Stadium in Salthill.

    Dublin 0-21 Cork 0-26 (Res)

Cork reached the All-Ireland Hurling semi-finals by overcoming Dublin 0-26 to 0-21 in a disappointing contest at Semple Stadium.

Dublin led on four occasions in the opening 12 minutes but paid for a series of bad wides as Cork moved into a 0-15 to 0-10 advantage by half-time.
