    Max Verstappen comes in and bolts on new hard tyres. Charles Leclerc, meanwhile, is fuming with the timing of this VCS - and he's letting his Ferrari pit wall know it.

    The pits is a hive of activity now and Alex Albon and Isack Hadjar could be the big winners of this Ocon incident. Albon is fourth and Hadjar is fifth.

    Another trophy for Oscar Piastri - Isack Hadjar falls under the sword of the Australian. Piastri is up to fourth but he is pushing those hard tyres to the maximum.

    Lando Norris and Max Verstappen are going to be on much fresher tyres when they do finally make their pit stop than Oscar Piastri.

    It feels like almost a questionable decision to bring Piastri in so early when he was in a pretty good position on the track tucked up behind Verstappen.

    Lewis Hamilton, meanwhile, is making his starting hard tyres work a decent shift but he's not able to keep the McLaren of championship leader Oscar Piastri at arm's length. The Australian, on fresher hards, moves up to sixth place.

    Oscar Piastri is in a fight with Max Verstappen, there is a bunch of cars between them but the overall gap is what matters. Because Piastri has had to fight his way through traffic, he's not made the progress that he would have hoped.

    The Ferrari of Charles Leclerc is charging through the field and Oliver Bearman's Haas is quickly dispatched for P9. Ferrari team-mate Lewis Hamilton started on the hards and is three places higher in P6.

    The frustration for Lewis Hamilton is starting to creep in because he wants to go for an undercut, stopping ahead of Kimi Antonelli to try and find his way past.

    Max Verstappen is out in front by just over nine seconds on his 22-lap old medium tyres. Oscar Piastri is stuck in traffic but has made his way up to seventh place after passing Nico Hulkenberg in the Sauber.

    Charles Leclerc is clocking the fastest lap at the moment down in 11th spot on his 10-lap hard tyres. Williams are chatting to Carlos Sainz about strategy and the Spaniard is musing as to how his team-mate Alex Albon is getting on and whether he can make a one-stop work.

    If Oscar Piastri closes to the gap to Max Verstappen, Verstappen will have to seriously consider dropping back and making that pit stop just so he doesn't become a threat to Piastri.

    At the moment he's got him well under control and he doesn't want to allow that to get too close.

    Max Verstappen is nine seconds clear of Lando Norris in the McLaren, with Alex Albon even further back in third in the Williams. All three are on the medium tyres and have yet to pay a visit to the pit lane.
