    Lando Norris had a short stay at the top of the timesheets but with the track so busy after two stoppages, other drivers are benefiting from a tasty slipstream.

    Norris is no down to fourth as Carlos Sainz, the Williams of Alex Albon and the second Ferrari of Charles Leclerc all post better times.

    Leclerc leads the field with a 1:43.455 on the soft rubber.

    One of the difficulties of this circuit is the speeds around this track, it's a very fast circuit, if you do come up against traffic in a very narrow section you can still be at very high speed, so there is potential risk here around this circuit.

    This is a tricky one for Haas now. The likes of Charles Leclerc and Franco Colapinto got there mistakes out of the way in yesterday's opening hour of practice. Ollie Bearman's shunt has come right before the crucial qualifying session.

    Following a slow start to the session and a red flag for the Alpine of Esteban Ocon, we finally have some times on the board. Oscar Piastri did go top briefly but the McLaren slides down the order as the two Ferraris and both Red Bulls beat his opening marker.

    Williams have also bolted on the soft compound and watch on as Franco Colapinto goes second and Alex Albon leapfrogs everyone to go quickest with a 1:44.371.

    Everyone out on circuit is on the soft tyre, so that's now working towards dialling the car in for qualifying.

    The race tomorrow we would expect the hard tyre to be the preferred tyre because it's generally a one-stop race.

    This now is all about getting the car focused on this afternoon.

    We haven't had a wet race in Baku in the past, it's interesting that it's damp which is defining the fact that not many cars are bothering to go out.

    Oscar Piastri is the latest driver to become weather forecaster, telling McLaren there are some light spots of rain. His engineer then reassures the Australian the drops haven't affected the track too much.
